I like it when my wife and I are out somewhere and they call us "ladies" In fact it's become a bit of an obsession lately. If I go a day or two without having been addressed in that manor. I think something is wrong. The best place to get ma'am ed, I think is Starbucks. The people there tend to be a bit more progressive and the lighting is great.
Last month my wife and I were down in California (in a large city). We went to a walmart. We got what we needed and went to the check out counter . As we were checking out the cashier, who was a lady, was looking at me .I am used to people being confused. I smiled polity . Right before we were done she says " are you a rock star?" I just smiled and nodded , no. I was embarrassed . I mean , who asks dumb questions like that? My wife who didn't understand why I was irritated said "that's not a bad thing to be mistook for, is it?" I had to explain to her, that was not the look I was going for. I have no piercings, not even my ears. No tattoos. My jeans aren't even torn I was dressed nice. I thought, do I really look like some guy from a wash up 80s hair band. Well maybe the cashier was just a little weird?
So last week I was here in Oregon (small town). And I go into a candy shop down town. I couldn't believe it the guy behind the counter says. "Are you like a musician cause you got that rock star thing going on" I said no . The guy could tell I wasn't flattered . He started stumbling around trying to say something. He says, Ye kinda a cross between Aerosmith and , like Carrot Top. ???? I don't know what to think about that?? Carrot Top???
I guess this means I need a new hair cut. I been wanting one more feminine for a while. I just don't know if my family is ready for that yet. Oh poop. >:(
