GRAND CHUTE — Being black and transgendered, Sierra Broussard has experienced discrimination.

Now, after organizing protests, helping acquaintances and suing a downtown Appleton nightclub, she has started her own nonprofit anti-discrimination organization, Defend Inc.

She has registered as a nonprofit, organized a board of directors, set up a website and opened an office at 5317 Grande Market Drive in Grand Chute.
