I did my first self-injection ten minutes ago!
I had my first done by my doctor and my second done by my trusty friend.
After standing in the bathroom for fifteen minutes, I twisted my torso around and jabbed myself in the butt cheek. My hands were shaking so bad, I was sure I'd manage to do some permanent damage. It went alright, I pulled the needle out, and I could hardly get a bandaid on before I almost threw up. Wow... Those were some intense nerves.
But I did it, and now I get to go to work. It's employee review day. ::)
Bring on the soreness for the next two days! Bring it!
Congrats! That's so great! I did my first self-injection last week, so I can relate to the nerves for sure. Mine was also my first T shot at all, so I was also freaking out (in a good way) about that, lol. :laugh:
Do you have a fear of needles? Or were the nerves related to just "doing it wrong"?
Cos I know myself I really have no fear for needles whatsoever, hell I have 12 piercings and counting :laugh: so I'm actually looking forward to when I start T and injecting myself.

Congrats! That makes two of us today! (I had a nurse guiding me through it, though, so a little more controlled)
I used to have an extreme fear of needles, but I've had so much blood drawn these past few years that it's not so bad anymore. Still, the idea (and act) of doing it myself was a real hurdle to leap over. I mean...not many people would be chill with sticking their bodies with needles, right? Ew...
I'm really glad I did it though. This'll save me a trip to the doctor's every other week, plus the money that costs! I've got a new level of independence - no need to schedule trips or work around my T schedule. I can do it anytime, anywhere. (Except maybe in the dark.)
