In my town, there ins't a dermatologist who does electrolysis. There is, however, a clinic where a biomedic professional does it.
I know a bit of her curriculum, but not much, and her website is very presentable. I am unsure though if biomedics are qualified enough for this. Has anyone had good or bad experiences?
Normally you have to do a specific electrologist course and be qualified to specifically perform electrolysis. Anyone can earn one provided they do the course from beauticians/dermatologists/biomedics ect.
I think that in the US the requirements vary by state. I have used an electrolysis tech with very good results. She has a nice touch and it's fun talking with her while she causes pain to my face. :P I'm not sure what her qualifications are other than she went through the training and has years of experience, but she's not a doctor.
I would be wary of doctors, but that's just me. ::) I'd much rather a nurse give me a shot than a doctor. I have no experience with electrolygists other than my own.
