Got my first shot today - the nurse showed me how to do it. Uneventful, no bruising or bleeding, my leg is vaguely sore (mostly feel it in my knee, oddly...nerves are weird). I'll be doing the rest myself at home from now on.
I don't really feel any different yet. Happy, excited, but haven't noticed any real effects of the T itself. I am awfully warm and sweaty but then I have been running around all day. I took a picture with a neutral angle/expression so I can document my progress.
I'm starting on a relatively low dose, as I understand it. The doctor says we'll start low and increase over time. I kind of like that idea - I don't need insta-puberty, and I think both my body and mind could use some time to adapt to the changes.
I'm due to start bleeding sometime in the next week or two, I think, I've been feeling the pre-symptoms. We'll see if it happens. Maybe I'll get lucky and it won't.
To all those still waiting: I'm not trying to rub it in your face :( don't give up hope, your day will come!
Congratulations, Kyril. You now can officially shoot up. :D
Congrats!!!! I am jealous but glad you are making a progress to becoming the man you want to be.
Starting low and increasing sounds like my transson's doctor ... he is due in a week to go for an appointment soon and will likely increase.
CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!!!!
I wish you a happy transition :)
Congrats! ;D
Congrats!!
Congrats. I seem to be saying that a lot recently, everyone seems to be getting T atm!
Gratz man :)
congrats man. big step =]
OMG wow!
Way cool dude.
(alot of guys are starting T the last few weeks it seems...)
Happy T-day Kyril!
That's awesome Kyril congrats man! :icon_mrhappy:
Congrats!
Yeah, I've only been around here for about a year or so, but from what I've seen, we do seem to go in waves like this :) thanks all! looking forward to seeing some differences.
The only thing I've noticed in the last few hours has been a growing sense of...well-being, I guess. I don't know if that's the hormone itself or just knowing that it's in me. But I feel better, in some hard-to-describe way.
Congrats on your first shot!!! I'm glad the site doesn't hurt much. My site stopped getting sore at all once I learned how to fully relax, so maybe that will happen to you. Anyway, most of us feel that a little soreness is a small price to pay.
You're on your way!
Yeah, my shot site isn't exactly sore, like I don't feel any soreness in the muscle where I injected, just some vaguely-sore odd feeling mostly in my knee like I bothered a nerve with the needle. Certainly not enough to be a problem...I was doing squats just now, feels good :)
awesome dude! ;D ;D ;D
That's freakin' awesome, I didn't even know you were that close to getting on T. I'm happy for you, but man...so jealous. Yah the T is coming in waves isn't it, I hope I'm on the next one.
;D Congrats!!
Sorry, was late checking in today but congratulations Kyril
That's great! Glad your first shot went well. Congratulations!
Congratulations!
My first T shot made my leg sore, but it was not a problem anytime after that. I'm also on a low (but still normal) dose, weekly. I'm actually happier this way because it's allowing me to preserve my singing voice even as it drops deeper.
Update:[insert lots of cursing] the bleeding came, and OMG it hurts. omg. Kill me now. It never hurt like this before.
yea, my bleeding came a few days after my shot.
Just think, it will probably be your last heavy regular one.

well, maybe it's just saying goodbye ;D
hang on.
Congrats man!
I'm sorry, man. I had one last one after starting T, I figure that it was probably building up and had to go somewhere; prior to it I had a severe hot flash, and then I was really crampy for the 'event' itself and it felt odd/sore. So yeah, unfortunately that seems to be a side effect for some of us.
I'm sorry :( I hope it eases up a little. Hope it's your last one, from what I hear it probably is :)

I'm sorry.
I guess there's a bright side. I started T after menopause (came early, thank the gods), so I had to put up with thirty years of the curse and premenopause symptoms. At least you're starting T earlier than that.
Yeah, that really helps you with your pain. ::)
Congrats on starting T!
You might get one more slight bleed next month but you would be very unlucky to get anything after that.
