Title: Question for those who have done FFS
Post by: adaralove on September 29, 2010, 10:48:22 PM
Ok so Im recovering from FFS I am on my 9th day post FFS, and my scalp right above the incision is pretty numb actually like totally dead numb, its the weirdest feeling cause it feels like Im touching some furry animal but its my scalp LOL.. I was told by my surgeon that it "should" comeback in 3-6 months and I was wondering if anyone has had that area comeback to normal. I would hate to have it numb for the rest of my life.
Other than that so far I am totally happy with what I see in the mirror.
Thanks!..

Well it has been 5 months for me sensation in the chin is 99% back to normal, upper lip maybe 95%, forehead 80%, top of the scalp still mostly numb, by area of numbness shrinking over time.

Overall, things are improving, complete recovery should come after a year or so, but it's already well advanced.

And, yes, I too am glad with the face I see in the mirror, and people around me are glad too. I can go freely anywhere and be viewed as a normal woman immediately. No second glance, no problem to use the women's room even when crowded, and I love to chat while touching up my makeup.  ;)
