Before testosterone, I didn't ever really smell like anything at all. I hardly sweat, and just smelled neutral really.
But I am 13 days on T, and in the last few days, I have noticed a change in my scent, for example, i was outside in the cold going for a walk, no deoterant, but it was so cold I didn't think i would need it. After a few hours, when I got home and pulled my hoodie off, I got a whiff of myself. I guess you could call it a 'stank' lol, but I smelled musty, sweaty, and just.. MASCULINE. And no, it wasnt a bad smell, I think it smells really good, and not too overpowering.
I guess I just, wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this, and whether or not they like it, I actually find it to be a really nice smell, and I am happy to have a little 'stank' I think it smells like pure pheromones.
Nothing drastic, I just smell a little bit stronger than I used to. Barely, barely noticeable.
You're going to lap me lol.
I now smell totally different on T.
Before, I could always smell my own body odour, now it just seems right somehow.
Welcome to the world of STINKY!
When a man (or Sevan) is freshly showered and goes out and does just enough work to build up a light sweat then comes back to me....OMG yeah that is like the best smell ever. Definatly trips my trigger.
Your developing man scent. You are going to have to be sure and not miss any showers for sure now.

yea i would agree that with the right amount, it smells amazing (not dripping sweat, just a little)
and yea, no more skippin out on showers. No wonder my brother smells so bad when he doesnt shower.
Still no scent difference here :(
you are day 4? right?
I noticed the scent change in my junk after day 5-6 and scent change in my whole body around day 11-12
so maybe that time line will work for you too
Yeah, day 4. I hope I get it soon. I might be on a lower dose than you, my doctor and I decided to go with the gradual-increase approach (for possible better voice results).
Give it time boys.
Almost a year on T and no change here either.

That just seems so unlikely.
What was your ng/dl of T last blood test?
I used to smell wrong. Now I smell right. It does change, it's not in your head.
I wear stupid amounts of deodorant (I do sweat a lot, pre-T it stunk, and I didn't want the smell to out me. I retained the habit).
When I sweat now, it actually smells less (as in noticeable), and what is there smells less offensive (it's just a better odor).
And it's not just in sweat either. My normal baseline scent has changed. I noticed it on things like jackets and quilts that don't get washed constantly. As creepy as it is, I think I smell rather good now .
this is actually one effect of T i'm slightly worried about. i really like how i smell now (i'm creepy too xD), its sortof a musky wood scent with a hint of citrus. the (very) few (as in like 3) men i've smelled au natural have smelled awful. like old cheese. except for one guy that made me realize why women like the way some men smell, ohmygawd.
i'm rambling. in short, i'm very curious to see how this changes for me ::)

It has never been checked.
There are a number of other non changes also.

It needs to be checked! Whoever your provider is isn't doing their job. If your levels are too high, it can be seriously dangerous, and if they're too low, it delays your changes.
Also, if your levels are adequate and you're not getting masculinizing effects, there may be something else wrong/different about you. (For instance, PAIS is a possibility - you could be XY with severe PAIS rather than XX)
Endo says unnecessary and SOC seems to agree.
If you have concerns about not getting reasonably-expected changes (I don't know what changes you haven't experienced, but I assume they're reasonable expectations) then that makes it necessary.
I also find it hard to believe that it's not necessary to do it routinely, at least initially to calibrate your dose. If your levels are too high, it's a serious health problem, and can also delay masculinizing effects if the excess is being converted to estrogen. If they're too low, it can fail to shut down your ovaries, which also could mean high levels of estrogen in your system. The SOC may not address checking it but that doesn't mean it's not good practice.
My smell was one of the first things to change!
Oh, and yeah, my endo requires all her patients to get bloodwork done every 3 months for the first year on T. She adjusts the dose accordingly. Then every 6 months for the second year, and i'm not sure about after that.
My doctors, like KAT's have failed to keep tabs on my hormone levels...
I'm doing my best to keep tabs on my own results/effects to at least try to spot it if something doesn't go "right".
On the subject of scent.
Yep, mine's changed.
Nope, it's not that strong.
I'm not showering more often.
I don't sweat much.
But on a weirder note. my sweat pattern has changed LOTS.
My knees... KNEES!... sweat Tons when I'm hot..
KNEES?!?!!
I mean.. what the?
.. knees...
So., hold on a sec.
You mean that's not normal if you're not on hormones? o.O
i knew my body was weird but the hell? meh not really complaining just always thought most girls bathed more than i do :P
(not that i'm filthy or anything, but i dont have time for daily showers)
