I have a question.
What do you guys aim for, physically in becoming a guy? What's the ideal guy look?
And how would you feel like if you were around 5'7 in height?
-----
And if you like girls, what kind of girls in general in personality? Is a girl being feminine a huge thing? And what makes you turned on immediately?

Hey, that was 6 questions!
1. I want to become a guy, but don't want to become fat as I'm small and I don't like it when small guys are fat.
2. There's no ideal guy look. I had lots of different types I have been attracted to in my life.
3. I'd feel much taller. Would like it.
4. Natural, kind, self-confident
5. I'm not attracted to girls who are very feminine.
6. If I write it all up, the internet will be full.
1.) Well for the IDEAL picture of me, I'd love to be taller, of course have working male parts, flat chested, overall I always thought I'd be a muscular, captain of the football team, type guy ??? what went wrong? Anywho, for now, I'm focusing on getting hormones to get a bit closer to some of the above stuff and eventually top surgery to fulfill the flat-chest category. Nothing about bottom surgery thus far is that appealing to me because it hasn't been perfected in the sense that it wouldn't be ideal to me (at least average size, erections, able to pee through) and as for balls I'm waiting for the technology that turns the ovaries into close-testicles ::) might not be in my life time. As for the height thing, I'm already 5'6", but again I'd love to be taller (beggers can't be choosers though I suppose ;D it doesn't fuss me too badly).
2.) For girls, I'm not that picky (again beggers can't be choosers ::)). I'd at least like her to be open-minded and aware of the outside world (I've met girls who didn't know who Al Gore was :o). Someone not one-dimensional and can grow with me basically (that was so cheesy). I don't like overly feminine girls :o I like the low-maintenance ones that don't make you buy them everything under the sun and look good without tons of make up (I actually tend to look at girls without make up or hardly any make up first). What makes me turned on immediately....uhh I might have to go with the token-guy response here....tits and ass :o someone that's real comfortable in the sex-department too. But that's the physical aspect. What turns me on on a higher level would have to be....a girl that surprises me I suppose. I bet I look like a total dick right now ::) wouldn't be the first time, but late night responses have a tendency to put forth bluntly put (and oddly worded) honesty. Hope that didn't come out too jumbled....I'm far too tired to edit it.
I want to be a "pretty boy" - undoubtedly male, but fem looking. Skinny and androgynous. I like to think being trans gives me a good chance of achieving this ideal look. 5'7 would be a lot taller than I am now, I quite like my height, wouldn't object to being taller though. Just not shorter for the love of god, I'd be a hobbit :D
I'm not too in to girls but the ones I am attracted to tend to be short and kinda boyish. I don't like really masculine women who can drink me under the table and beat me in an arm wrestle but girlishness annoys me somewhat, if she's gonna be concerned with getting mud on her shoes or breaking a nail then we aint gonna get along :P
Hmm, ideal look...I want to be a fit guy, not too muscular but not scrawny, I'm a soccer player. And I'm pretty into a scruffy face, not a full beard but scruff. And yea definitely taller, a lot taller, like 6' range lol that's probably my biggest ideal which will never happen.
As far as girls, I like cute girls. Ones who care enough about their appearance but don't overly stress it. And of course girls who are into sports, mainly soccer ;) and someone I can have an intelligent conversation with as well as down to earth conversations. That's pretty much it
And...a lot turns me on lol I just play it cool tho
Ideal look for me would be muscular but not huge...more of toned body. And like James said I'd like a scruffy face but definitely not a full beard. And 5'7" would be quality as I'm only 5'3" now, but having said that I don't mind being short and I'd hate to be any taller than 5'8".
As for girls, I'm attracted to maturity and I often like girls that are older than me. Also brown eyes and brown hair is hot. And redheads.
Im pretty much the same, I want a toned body but I don't want to be massive, the perfect height for me would be about 5'6. I'm very comfortable being short, I'm 5'3 at the moment but a bit taller wouldn't hurt.
I like girls who are cute, thats the biggest thing for me. I like it when they are shy too and around my height. To be honest my friend will take the p*** out of me for saying this but what gets me is if they have a really cute grin, like proper cheesy. I like girls I can take care of, I'm not interested in the sexy look i'd rather have a girl with a nice personality.

I have a question.

And how would you feel like if you were around 5'7 in height?
-----
And if you like girls, what kind of girls in general in personality? Is a girl being feminine a huge thing? And what makes you turned on immediately?
Marlon Brando, James Dean, etc. The old school archetype of mandom.
I'm 5' 9", close enough. How should I feel?
My attraction to women is pretty limited, after having only begun to notice them on T. It varies wildly, there's no predicting which girl I'll suddenly want to bone or why. Sometimes it's the way a girl laughs, sometimes how her clothes fit, her tits, what she says, what coffee she drinks, etc. I think every girl everywhere in the world has a good chance of having more than a few guys fall hard for her for no apparent reason, just for being the way she is.
What do you guys aim for, physically in becoming a guy?
I, personally, would like to look like a slightly androgynous male.
What's the ideal guy look?
There's really no such thing in and of itself, just personal preference.
And how would you feel like if you were around 5'7 in height?
I'd be quite happy with that.
I'm 6'2 as is, and it feels a little... too tall.. sometimes.
'Specially when I clip low hanging signs in stores..
And if you like girls, what kind of girls in general in personality?
Intelligent, rational, capable of holding complex conversations, not to stuck in some preconceived notion of what is "correct" behaviour for men and women and so on and so forth..
Is a girl being feminine a huge thing?
No.
Though certain accents of femininity are highly enticing, I'm more concerned with personality, specifically intelligence, than any such thing.
And what makes you turned on immediately?
Nothing really...
I'd love to be kind of like Peter Murphy, the sort of tall, slender, fey guy. Sort of a goth, I suppose. I want to be tall, 5,4" is puny. 5,9"-ish would be a cool height. My perfect height.
I don't know what's the ideal guy look. For me, I suppose it is: flat chest, no curves, slightly skinnier (in that androgynous, fey Peter Murphy kinda way). Sideburns, perhaps; those look so cool.
I'd like it; it's a bit short for a guy, but who cares? I mean, I'm very short already, so anything will help.
Girls in terms of personality... Slightly nerdy, same interests as me, doesn't mind a coffee-addicted loonie such as myself, is a bit of a tomboy, is into sex, isn't religious.
A girl being feminine isn't a huge thing. I am kind of fascinated by feminine girls; it's this entire world I have no understanding of at all. Super-girly girls are annoying, they need to be somehwat down to earth.
Turned on immediately? Good tits, good arse, a sexy smile, the way she laughs, the way her hair looks, a glimpse of a bra strap... Anything, really. It depends on the girl.
I would like to look kindly andro (forgive me I can never remember how to spell it), but maybe a little toned. The ideal guy look, I don't think there is one. I'm 5" now, so 5" 7 would be an improvement to me. As for girls, I like intelligent girls, someone who is comfortable in their skin, down to earth, not afraid to speak their mind, sweetness never hurts anyone. Is femininity a big deal, not really. What turns me on, I like it when a girl wears make up not not to much, corsets on girls are very sexy, but over all I think girls are sexy when they are who they are on the inside. But still I know what I like and I'd rather not mention every little thing about that on here, as it would be too much to list.
Hmm...I aim for as close to my ideal look as I can manage, I suppose. That ideal would be definitively male.
I want a fit, toned body that's neither scrawny and lanky nor bulky or...too muscled I suppose. I want the mesomorph male body type, again without necessarily being bulky. I want hair in the right places: good scruff when I want it (i.e. I don't shave), a happy trail, hair on the arms and hands and legs and feet (well, more hair), hair on the chest even so long as I don't have a hairy back. I want a more defined face and jaw. Bigger hands and feet wouldn't hurt either. And, of course, the appropriate equipment -- preferably a bit larger than average, but hey, we're going with ideal, right?
I'm already around 5'7" -- I'm between 5'5"-5'6". I'm fine with my height as is, but that's not to say I wouldn't complain about a couple more inches...in height, that is. I want more than just a couple elsewhere...
Personality-wise I like a confident girl, one I'm still comfortable talking to and who I feel is hearing me and truly listening, one that pushes me a bit but doesn't nag. I like a girl that will call me on things, challenge me a bit (God is that hot), hold conversations from the silly to the serious. I like a girl that's straight with me, one that doesn't feel the need to try and change me or anything, one that can be naughty and a bit of a tease even (both in a naughty sense and otherwise). I like a girl with a sense of humor that can take a joke and sarcasm and can dish it too, but who doesn't take things too far. I like a girl who's intelligent too. Sweetness doesn't hurt at all. I like a girl I can have fun with in all settings, and can look damn fine if appropriate when we go out -- better yet if she can look damn fine regardless of what she's wearing. Though I like to be able to take the reigns and whatnot, a girl who doesn't have issue with surprising me by doing so sometimes is nice, so long as I'm not made to feel I'm just along for the ride and have no real control. So, a girl who can take control (especially in bed -- or wherever we happen to be) but who isn't about control, who still involves me. Okay, I will admit, it's more of a turn on and more in my interest to be more in control, to take care of things more, or at the least share that equally, but not at all so much if she's running the show more.
Can't forget open-minded as well (reason I edited this). Not only due to the whole trans-thing, but also...well, I'm into a lot of things, shall we say. I'm a hugely open-minded person and have no issue seeing both sides in matters even. Someone who is narrow-minded wouldn't work well in just about all aspects of my life.
A feminine girl isn't necessarily a huge thing. Actually, I like a girl who likes to get dirty at times (or at least doesn't mind), and can hold her own with "the boys" -- but I like her to have a femininity to her too. I think that kind of combination is insanely hot. Naturally, that lends to high-maintenance not being my thing -- I'd disappoint there as I'm not inclined to entertain and indulge that.
As to what turns me on immediately...haha, well, confidence is definitely one of those things. I've learned that suggestion immediately distracts me and catches my attention regardless of what I'm doing: whether the suggestion is verbal or physical or both, and whether subtle or vulgar and obscene. A cute, kind of flirty girl is a turn-on for sure. I'm sure there's more...but those are the most immediate turn-ons.
My ideal look is to be a little more muscular and toned than i am now. I weigh about 135-140 and i would like to weigh more around 150-155 (in muscle). I'm 5'8" and I'm happy with my height. If i could grow that would be awesome because I would like to be around 5'10" but like i said I really dont have a problem with being 5'8." I want to be seen as confident! That's the most important thing to me.
I don't have a specific type of girl that I go for. I like to laugh and have fun. I like girls who i can joke around with and act like a big kid with sometimes but who can also be serious. Someone who makes me want to be a better person. I like girls who is happy with wearing sweats and being lazy with me one day and getting dressed up and going out the next. I do like "girly" girls. and I like girls who are shorter than me. The most important thing is the connection i have with a girl, I dont want her to feel like she's just a friend.

1) I like the on the thinner some what twinky but with muscle look. Basically on the thin side, but cut.
2) I like both casual and "trendy gay".
3) I'm already around 5'10", so I'd feel like I shrunk lol.
4) Well I'm into guys. But for a guy I like a guy who is nice and funny. He NEEDS to have a sense of humor.
5) N/A lol.
6) A guy who has a hot face, hot body, and nice smile turns me on instantly. Also I LOVE a guy who has some tan. Not orange, just golden. :P

Realistically: a flat chest, strong muscular frame, hair in the right places (especially some on chest and face), more defined jaw 'cause mine is very soft and round, and bigger hands/feet. To throw in some idealism, I'd want working bio male parts. Funny you should mention ideal look because I found a photo that sums up my ideal body here: To Serve and Destroy by Vishstudio (http://vishstudio.deviantart.com/art/To-Serve-and-Destroy-92204306) To describe it, I suppose bulky/heavy musclehead will do? :D
I would probably have more confidence if I were taller, and 5'7" would be a happy place for me. I'm around 5'1" so it'd be a dream come true!

I prefer men, but um... I do not have specifics I look for. I like to have fun, laugh, try new things when I can, etc. I can be charmed by intelligence and wit, compassion, timidity, and hey a good cook works, too!
Being feminine is not a huge thing; in fact, I don't find super feminine girls to my liking. :/ Just in my experience they tended to be high maintenance. Although if she is feminine but doesn't mind getting dirty and being outside, then it won't be an issue. Having a personal connection is the most important thing for me.
Immediate turn-ons for women, uh, I really like Dominance/submission so a woman who knows what she wants and can take it from you is pretty hot. The rest is way too much to explain. ;)
What do you guys aim for, physically in becoming a guy?
I've got the androgynous thing going on as well - more male than female - and I'm fine with that. I'd like to be a little more fit than I am right now.
What's the ideal guy look?
Well, that's really a personal preference. So what's MY ideal guy look? I honestly am not sure I have one particular look. I think all sorts of guys look good.
And how would you feel like if you were around 5'7 in height?
Eh, I'm pretty used to the height I am (5'3) so I imagine it would be pretty different to be taller at this point.
And if you like girls, what kind of girls in general in personality?
This is all over the board too. I'm usually attracted by personality first, looks second. And I don't have a particular type. If their interesting overall, that's a great start.
Is a girl being feminine a huge thing?
Not even.
And what makes you turned on immediately?
->-bleeped-<-s? LOL Seriously though, there's a number of different things that do it for me and some of them have nothing to do with sex per say. It could even be as silly as the way someone looks at me.
What do you guys aim for, physically in becoming a guy?
I guess "muscle twink" is the best description - not skinny and andro, somewhat muscular, but still young-looking, smooth-skinned, clean-shaven, nice hair. I'm gay and mostly a bottom, so it's important to me to have a nice body, lose all the chubbiness, fit well in my clothes.
What's the ideal guy look?
Depends on the guy - genetics and personality determine what a particular guy's ideal look is.
And how would you feel like if you were around 5'7 in height?
I am 5'7". Don't mind it at all.
And if you like girls, what kind of girls in general in personality?
Not into girls.
Is a girl being feminine a huge thing?
Don't care - still not interested :)
And what makes you turned on immediately?
When I first get within 1-2 feet of a guy, I may (or may not) be instantly turned on. I think it's the smell/pheromones. If the guy's totally physically unattractive that tends to kill it, of course.
1. I want to develop my physique so I have a big upper body and arms, and strong legs - the rugby player look. When I start T, I want to grow a neat beard and also shave my hair really short. I might get a tattoo, if I'm brave enough!
2. The ideal guy look is very personal, but I always am attracted to masculine guys who take care with their appearance - a big hairy guy who dresses well, has groomed stubble and nice aftershave is LUSH!
3. I would love to be taller (I'm 5'3"), but I don't mind being short as all the men in my family are- it's just genetic, not something that I associate with gender.
And the rest... I'm gay, so I'll answer based on guys. I like someone whose interests I share, who I can have a good conversation with, who shares my dry sense of humour, and who cares about other people. I generally prefer quiet guys to loud, confident ones, probably because I'm shy myself. And as for what turns me on immediately? Redtube, anyone? :P
What do you guys aim for, physically in becoming a guy? What's the ideal guy look?
The ideal look for me is just to look like me... but with a fantastic beard. :P Honestly, as I've gotten more masculine and seen myself more in the mirror I've not really had to think up what look I'm shooting for. I have an idea of what I can look like on T and that's all I'm hoping to achieve.
And how would you feel like if you were around 5'7 in height?
I'd love to be 5'7" I'm a short bugger. :P
And if you like girls, what kind of girls in general in personality?
I like sweet girls. Someone who's optimistic, a "the glass is half full" kinda personality. Someone who can show her vulnerability and will let me take care of her, but will also step up and take care of me from time to time. The girls I'm most attracted to are those who bring out the protector in me and just make me smile at how darned cute and sweet they are. :P
Is a girl being feminine a huge thing?
Not really. I'm not gonna ditch a girl cause I find out she likes sports or doesn't shave her armpits.
And what makes you turned on immediately?
Oooh, that's a tough question. Depends on the mood I'm in and who I'm with.
I'd like the ability to grow facial hair, though I'm not sure I'll actually grow it much once I have it. I want to be muscular, but not bulky or anything. I don't want to be super hairy, though I think I probably will be. And I'd like to be somewhat androgynous-looking, but still definitely male. My height doesn't bother me much (I'm 5'5"), but a few extra inches would be nice.
There's not really a particular "type" of girls (or boys) that I'm attracted to. I tend to be more physically attracted to androgynous people in general, though. So no, I don't much care if a girl is really feminine.
Ideally, I would look a lot like Miyavi--androgynous, small of build, slender, pale-ish skin, dark hair, little hair on the body. Or I would want to look like Lestat (Tom Cruise version). However, since both are out of my reach entirely I'm just aiming for a more androgynous looking male who's slim/toned and leans towards fem in looks.
If I was 5'7", I would be able to aim more for what I want to look like, but I don't mind being 5'10".
I like the tom-boy girls who will make me feel secure and make me feel like I have someone who I can rely on--I'm not good at being the "dominant" person in a relationship so to speak. I might be male, but I definitely want to be a house husband.
Nothing turns me on anywhere--or not much at least.
Physically it'd be nice to have a dick... also strength is a plus. I already don't have boobs but that was on the list for sure. I'm not sure really what the ideal male look is. I'm a shaggy haired, dark colors, cargo pants, and t-shirt kinda guy if thats what you mean. As far as height goes I suppose it'd be alright to be 5'7, but I have no problem with the height I am which is around 5'4.
I like girls who are feminine but a little rough around the edges. Girls who will play fight and sass you with a smile in their eyes. I don't know how to describe it other than that really. At this point my minds going crazy with girls... been on T a year and I haven't been involved as such for 2 years... So at this point its not hard for a girl to catch my mind for at least a moment or two.

That's exactly how I'd like to be. :D Pretty, but still a boy. I'd like to remain skinny and somewhat androgynous, have a flat chest and less prominent hips. Voice is also very important for me. I'm really into music and I'd like to know that I could sing a bit more like my favourite artists, even if just for fun. Heightwise, yeah, I'd like to be 5"7 that would be perfect for me. Not too tall and not too short. At present I feel, at almost 5"5, I'm too short.
As for attraction... erm... I'm not really into girls. I think I am
slightly bisexual, however, I just don't feel attracted to females very often -- I do like feminine people (generally boys) and I am highly attracted to certain articles of women's clothing. What makes me turned on immedietely? I suppose it's a mix of personality and appearance. I like girly boys who are sort of andro in appearance and I really like it if they... erm... dress in women's clothing. (Hope that's not TMI!)
Sorry if I didn't answer anything correctly... I'm just still rather confused about myself.
My goal is fairly simple: being happy and comfortable in my own skin. I'd like to be androgynous physically but it's not a big deal. I'd be happy if I was 5 foot 7. I'm 5 foot 2(ish) and can't reach the upper cabinets in the kitchen. Uhhh....I like women and being feminine isn't really an issue with my partner. I just want somebody that I click with.

-----
And if you like girls, what kind of girls in general in personality? Is a girl being feminine a huge thing? And what makes you turned on immediately?
I just want to look like a masculine version of myself. I think for the most part I am a good looking guy. MY ideal guy look would be, slightly feminine, not really girly, just not a macho man. Scruffy face, larger shoulders then hips, lean frame with muscular arms and shoulders, (but not buck angel muscular) just, regular toned.
I am 5'5 so id love to be 5'7.
I mostly like guys, but I like girls sometimes too. I would want a fun, easy going, not crazy girl. Not clingy or overly romantic. I actually like slightly boyish girls. for example, say I saw a girl with all pink and tons of makeup, i would probably be more attracted to a girl with some cute jeans and a low cut top. lol
What makes me turned on instantly? A cute butt and a pretty face.
i want the obvious things, no curves, flat chest but also that look when guys don't shave for a couple days, not quite a beard per say but stubble. and lean muscle, i'll get that when i run and weightlift anyway ;) i wish i were at the shortest 5'7" but sadly I'm a 5'4". I'm a short scrawny dorky little guy :( oh well i could be way shorter.
the ideal guy look is different for every guy.
i like women who don't hate themselves, the self loathing kind are impossible to cheer up and negative people bring everyone else down, i like women who are down to earth, can have smart conversations and can make me laugh. similiar interests of course.
i like butch or femme but not so girly that she takes forever getting ready, the high maintenance, preppy princess kind of woman. then i'd also have to spend all my money on diamonds *shudders*
i tend to be attracted to anyone unusual. the more "different" someone is the more I'm going to be drawn to them and yes that's immediate lol. like "wow, I've never known anyone like that before." also someone eccentric, random, that helps ;D

k
QuoteWhat do you guys aim for, physically in becoming a guy?
I'm already a guy. What I aim for, physically, is for people to be able to recognize that so they stop treating me like a woman. In my case this would mean a flat chest, no more curves, and whatever it would take to make my face look male (I've got a strong jaw already, so I figure it's to do with eye & lip shape and fat distribution.)
QuoteWhat's the ideal guy look?
eh, in my case I'd hopefully end up looking wicked metal. I probably can't though.
QuoteAnd how would you feel like if you were around 5'7 in height?
Better. I'm 5'1 now, it'd be six inches of improvement. (giggity?)
QuoteAnd if you like girls, what kind of girls in general in personality?
I don't always like women, but when I do, they tend to be any combination of outdoorsy, athletic, arsty, sporty, and fit. I tend to like a lady who will like to do stuff with me, doing things together won't usually be a matter of compromising between something I hate and she loves or something she hates and I love.
QuoteIs a girl being feminine a huge thing?
I don't get along with feminine women. Never have. I don't get along with macho men, either, so I think it has to do with people like this stating, "Women are like ____ and men are like ____" with high frequency, and in 99/100 cases the blanks are bull->-bleeped-<- theorizing that the person will immediately apply to their treatment of others and make the world a more gender-segregated place. I'm American and we have a problem with that right now, though, so if you're from somewhere else take it with a grain of salt.
QuoteAnd what makes you turned on immediately?
I'm an ab guy. Whether it's men or women, I'm checking out the torso. In both cases I like it to be firm and flat and maybe even a little defined. :3

Kinda confused about why these questions are being asked...
On the night I was thinking this, I was kind of thinking of becoming more closer to a man (been on spiro for 4 months), so I was wondering if I should just quit. Then if I quit, me being a cisguy right now, I could become the best looking guy. And the people who would know what the best looking cisguy are ftm, so I ask. And by your definition you would know what people like; I am getting a rough idea of this pretty looking, muscled up, Tom Cruise-Rugged, image who is comfortable in his own skin...
Then me being 5'7, I was wondering how a ftm would like being that height, since they want to be passable as much as possible. Some like it, but most didn't care, and few thought it was a "shrunk".
Then on the girl questions, I was wondering what the average straight guy would want... psychologically. And the turned on question was just about what would the average straight guys be turned on by. Thought most ftm are straight and would be better at being a guy than guys would be guys... like how mtfs are better at being feminine than the average ciswoman.

And by your definition you would know what people like; I am getting a rough idea of this pretty looking, muscled up, Tom Cruise-Rugged, image who is comfortable in his own skin...

.Wow....so many generalizations and assumptions.

Me, putting on more upper body muscle, losing som of the fat around the gut and hips, perhaps if I could grow another inch and become an even 5 foot 10. Well and uhhhmm no more breasticles and some kind of lower surgery.
I'd be sad if I was 5'7. Because it would mean someone chopped off my feet or the top of my head.
UMm I like smart, intelligent, kinda more girly girls.. that care alot and don'/t mind when I get all sensitive. <3 if you're reading this Jen. Fem.. I donno.. I think so. I'm not attracted to the butch types. Turned on immediately.. oh gawd.. ear nibbling.
I think there are alot of different ideal guy looks - I can point to super skinny emo guys and find super hot ones there, or look at athletes and find super bulked up hot ones, and even some chunkier guys are good looking.. I don't have any specific preference.. though I'd have to say Jake Gylanhal is one of theeee most attractive men out there.

I might have to agree there :( there's something about that answer I don't quite like, but I can't definitively put my finger on it. And Megan, maybe you ought to talk to a counselor about your thoughts? You could be just going through a doubting phase, but I do understand some go on hormones then decide it's not for them. I also saw you make a thread on what would happen if a cis-male took testosterone, which seems a bit fishy when adding that to the answers you provided. Are you trying to be a more "convincing" guy because you're unsure how convincing you can be as an MTF? Or are you trying to be more confident or assured with your "maleness" ??? because those are two things I'm picking up here. There's no one way to be male, female, or even human so I think you ought to be convincing yourself of your "selfness" more than anything else. Don't know if that made sense, not trying to call you out or anything, just seemed like you were trying to grasp at something.

I have had top surgery. I'm still waiting for bottom surgery to improve. And for it to be covered by insurance or Obamacare. My equipment bothers me, but there's not much I can do about it now.
No ideal guy look. I would love to wear an overcoat like Jimmy Smits does, but he's about eight inches taller than I am (maybe more), so I don't think that's gonna happen. I would love to lift weights again and build up my arms and chest, but my wrist is dorked up, so that's not gonna happen. I'm still learning to live with what I have.
If I were 5' 7", I would thank the gods for the additional 1/2 to 3/4" in height.
Don't like girls. The girlier they are, the more I don't like them.
P.S. I read your follow-up post and don't really understand where you're coming from. Sorry. Maybe I'm just dense today.

i was lucky in having taller parents, so i'm 5'10 naturally. my body is lean and skinny though, so i guess my ideal body physically would be to be more muscular and cut, nothing like the jersey shore guys though. and i'm more skater in fashion sense. but i don't think there is an ideal look for trans guys. i've attended the trans health conference in my area (philly) and saw transmen that were all sorts of appearances. ranging from gangster to cowboys.
and in a partner, i definitely like girly girls. in fact, i used to have a bunch of lesbian/bi friends, who were both butch and fem. and while i was okay with dating bi girls, i found myself irritated by the competition with girls that i personally though looked more masculine than i did.
something about butchy girls bothers me now. and i tend to find myself attracted to straight girlie girls. the girlier the better.
Tom Cruise is rugged? :icon_blink: I never knew that...
Did notice a lot of transguys prefer the more androgynous look...I guess maybe that's where the above comes from? Personally, I'd much rather look like RDJ than Cruise -- odds are better for me, too, so there's a bonus. I'm not interested in a pretty-boy look, though I do admit a guy's gotta look good. Guess I just prefer something a bit rougher, per se, than pretty-boy for myself.
I do have to say though, Megan, it does seem as though you're in a spot in all of this where perhaps you need additional counseling or therapy. You have to figure out what you truly want in life and pursue that to the best of your ability: life's too short to do otherwise.

Finally came to the head of my doubts and worries, and know exactly what to do with my life.
I am so glad now, because it like clicked today, all of it together and made sense to me. (career wise)
gender wise, I am still confuse... I'll talk to a counselor when I get to California, I'll just be on my spiro for the safe side.
I don't want to be a man like I did now, that was weird since that never happen to me before. Yeah I was thinking of taking testosterone.
I don't even know what to call myself, gender, it's all like some daze. but closer still.
Youth is fleeting, I realized that today, I was thinking of my life is passing by... all the choices I have to make. If I was 30 yrs old I would die inside to think I am nobody, I really felt 30 yrs old, like I had nothing. That would be the risk of pursuing a musical career without an idea of what I was going for; fame/fortune. That's stupid now that I look at it, since I can easily get "some" fame and a little "fortune" doing something a lot more real and realistic.
Yeah...
then
I feel like I could be loved as a guy, and loved as a woman. I must be androgynous. I must look androgynous then....
that's why I been on this weird feeling of spiro, like I was finally becoming normalize
and now that I been feeling more womanly than usual, I was getting fearful of not being guy.
it makes all sense I think to me
I have to be in a careful balance of male and female wherever that is.
wtf, I don't make any sense... i have to do something else now
Well it's good that you're making a decision to see your counselor again :o I thought you had it sorted out when you first started your response....but the last sentence just threw it off. The fact that you said "balance of male and female" seems like more of an androgynous thing (though I realize that EVERYONE is some sort of balance of male and female). Did you check out the androgyny section of the forum? Perhaps you can relate to some of that and get a better grasp of what might be going on. Definitely glad that you're coming out and letting us know what's up though :) leaves no hard feelings with me (I can't speak for the rest).
I don't have a counselor yet, but I have my career figured out, which is all I mean; become a plastic surgeon.
When I get to California, I'll just get one to talk too about my gender issues. I want to become a woman again, I should do a little full-time in California, see if it helps me. If not then I probably found my answer.
Well I am getting off-topic about this thread... so I just want to end this here.

robert downey jr? *drooooooooool* ok, yea Id be happy to look like him. I switch between wanting to look clean and andro, but sometimes I want to look rugged and sweaty. lol

I guess I want to look like what I'm attracted to? I don't know, but I'd think I'd be happier with a more androgynous look though that probably won't happen given my genetics. >> And if I could look like Tom Cruise as Lestat I'd be terribly excited and would never leave the bathroom. XD
Robert Downey Jr is pretty hot, though, but not what I want to look like.

Hahaha, yea, reactions such as that don't hurt any. ;) I'm bi and, well, he certainly has that going for him -- not to mention the woman I'm currently "talking to" (to borrow my younger brother's words) thinks he's hot: that
definitely doesn't hurt any.
I've always preferred to look more rugged when at all possible -- even when I have to wear something "nice" (such as for a wedding or something) I prefer a certain attitude that I suppose I equate to ruggedness. I don't mind sweaty, either: seems I always get positive comments if I mention being sweaty, haha.

Hahaha! That first one could be a problem Gabe, haha. I imagine I have a basis for what you mean though: I think once I can start T (probably a ways off) and start looking more masculine I might be inclined to spend more time in front of the mirror as well...
Fair enough on all the comments: to each their own. I guess I just noticed I seem to be in a minority on this thread/topic, which is cool. I just had to post that first line, then the rest sort of followed from there.
Once I start T, I predict lots of staring in the mirror and going "ooo...is that a beard hair???" XD
>> It would be a bit of a problem if I kept staring because I looked like Lestat. I might waste away in front of the mirror or any reflective surface.
Haha, I already have a few "beard hairs", unfortunately it's literally a few so there's not much that can be done with them (though I do play with them a bit sometimes). I try to keep them short and shave them when they get noticeable, since they're not doing me too much good at the moment, but believe me I do love having them! Luckily my ma stopped trying to pluck them a while ago, too -- largely because I wised up and stopped letting her near my chin. Now that she knows I'm trans that should put a permanent stop to it.
That last statement reminds me of Dorian Gray and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...
