Hey everyone, just giving a short progress report. I took my fourth gellcap of estradiol this morning. As you can imagine, no major changes yet physically, but I do still feel a bit different about myself. First day I wasn't feeling so good. Don't know if it was just bad indigestion from lunch or my first pill. Day 2 was much better and things started to smooth out. Right now I feel kind of tranquil as if the "heat" has been turned down. Just a kind of general mellow mood which even seems to color how I view sex. Subtle, but I think real and not just my imagination. No other major mental effects. Still prefer girls to men and my wife says I still smell the same. I did have some trouble on my run yesterday which was a bit weird since I had taken the previous two days off. That usually gives me an extra boost next time I run, but yesterday I felt like I had gained 20lbs. overnight. Again, don't know if that even means anything. I will see how I feel today. I know the endo has me on a low dose at first and it will double after these first 30 days. Each day I wake up and can't wait to take the next dose because I know it is bringing me what I have always wanted.

But really it will take some time to be sure of the effects. Early days honey. Exciting though! once those boobs start hurting!!
Are you on an antiandrogen?
First of all, I am happy for that you managed to start HRT.

If I can give any advice, is take it slowly and let the changes slowly happen at their own pace.

Yes, and I am on such a low dose I am quite sure nothing much will happen this first month. Maybe once it goes up in month 2. I did ask my endo about an anti-androgen, but he didn't think it was necessary. Going in for blood work in thirty days. If I don't see much progress in my T and DHEA levels I will ask again. My endo seems pretty conservative, but he is supposed to be pretty experienced in this, so I will trust his expertise for now.
I do wonder about how my breasts will develop as I've had gynecomastia since puberty. Right breast has milk glands in it. Will they get bigger or just stay as they are and develop internally? I guess I will find out soon enough.

I find it interesting that your doctor doesn't think you need a T-blocker. If you don't use a T-blocker then you would have to take a large amount of estrogen to overcome the testosterone.

Yeah, he explained it as putting enough E into me to fool the pituitary to shut down T production. I am not sure how my E dosage compares to others. I do know that my prescription was filled out by a compoundic pharmacy and is not a pre-made tablet.
