Question:
Do you shave your legs?
Option 1: I Shave my legs and my sex is female
Option 2: I shave my legs and my sex is male
Option 3: I do not shave my legs and my sex is female
Option 4: I do not shave my legs and my sex is male
I always hated shaving my legs and wouldn't do it as often as most girls, but then this past year I met my boyfriend and he convinced me to stop. It's so much nicer not having to shave! My skin is also a lot more healthy now that I've stopped.
Yes, Shaving is a pain...
I shave everything from the neck down

I shave my legs when I plan on wearing a skirt or shorts, but if they aren't going to be visible I sometimes don't bother with it. I also sometimes shave other parts of my body, but it also depends on what I'm wearing and if I'm going out in girl-mode or androgynous-mode.
I shave just about everything from the neck down and of coarse the face. Though I will sometimes go without shaving for a few days. It doesnt seem to stand out as much. I can feel the stubble after a day or two.
Owen
Love being female
Hey! It's another Owen! My boyfriend's name is Owen and he's the only Owen I've ever known. I think being female is ok. There are pros and cons for both being male and female. I guess when it comes to shaving, I'm glad I'm female though. I do shave my arm pits, but that takes like two seconds to do, but it would be annoying to have to shave my face all the time and I don't think I'd want to deal with facial hair. I've contemplated whether or not I should let my armpits go completely and just see what it's like. Maybe I'll get brave enough to do it eventually, but for some reason, that just doesn't seem like a place where I'd want hair.
It doesn't bother me much, but I haven't known anything else since hair started growing there. Same for my legs. I never liked facial hair much, though.
I shave everywhere including regular shaving of legs, chest and armpits. When I get arround to it my arms get a go.

I don't like shaving. I want to laser off everything I shave right now. ITs a pain.
I'm torn between liking the look of smooth skin but hating that I'm the one that has to do it. Its like I look in the mirror and think "Hey nice legs baby" and then expect that chick in the mirror to keep it up. LOL.

I didnt vote but heres my answer....
I HATE SHAVEING, but do it anyways when necicary....
I wax, plain and simple.... some day I may be able to afford to have everything lazered and reduce the growth to where shaveing isnt that bad, but untill then... hot wax and repeat...(It really beats all the ingrowns and haveing to do it every day or 3.....)
Sorry but we are bi-gender so could not do the poll. (Male or Female) :(
But we do save are legs, arms and anywhere else that grows hair.
But we often use a eliptor to get the job done, no nicks and smooth hairless skin.

The poll asks about your sex, not your gender. Does that help?

I've tried that a few times but if you're not diligent about it, it becomes it's own special type of torture. >:D
I stopped shaving just to see if my body hair still bugs me and it does. So I'll be back to shaving my arms, armpits, and legs. Fortunately I can't grow chest hair even with the strongest of coffees so that saves me a little time.

Not if you're in the middle of transitioning or IS. :-\

I always though the correct answer to sex was "Yes, please"

I've been thinking this is the way to go, but haven't quite gotten there yet...guess I need to check out the How-To section for more info

That's very true Melissa. Although I know what HelloToYou was going for it doesn't quite work in a community like ours, does it?

Then how come the forms I filled out when I was a teenager always said to put M or F and not Y or N? Well, OK, it was just a few forms but they were usually for church. Seriously.
I shave my legs and underarms, but not my face. >:D
Smooth legs feel much better than hairy legs. When I first started to shave my legs on a regular basis I would feel self-conscious in the summer when I wear shorts a lot. No one ever said anything to me about having shaved legs, so now I do not think of it at all.

You were still born with a sex. I suppose I could have included intersexed. I was careful to not say gender because that is not what I am going for.

It's ok. I just couldn't answer the poll, because physically, I'm neither fully male nor fully female. If I had to choose one based on what I was physically closer to, it would be female. Of course at this point I'm not so sure I started off fully male.

I only shave when i know it's going to be showing... like when i wear sleeveless shirts, or stockingless skirts, or bikinis. marq and mia don't really notice because it doesn't grow fast at all. I just need her to do it too! :P
Yeah yeah we're getting around to it.
I've done a pretty good job of keeping my face shaved. Relatively speaking atleast.
As for the rest of the body, we're waiting for the right moment to clog the drains.

Have a drain cover and just keep a garbage can nearby. ;)

Sounds like laziness to us Marq and Mia.

I'm with Jillean and Lynner. Shaving is a pain and doesn't last long enough. Epilation works so much better. Waxing is the best but I'm not willing to pay for it. I had a friend who was going through aesthetician (sp?) training and she would wax for me as part of her training. My roommate and his girlfriend wax each other and have offered but I haven't taken them up on it.
I like epilation and waxing since it lasts SO much longer and even as it grows in it is finer and lighter colored so it seems more natural even in between. Shaving feels good right after you do it, super smooth but then seems to itch forever, and then that blunt cut off hair grows out so quick, noticeably so.
Nothing better than smooth skin and fresh sheets, now I just need somebody in those sheets with me. :)
I only shave my genitals sometimes because I love the smooth feeling but that's about it. The rest grows wild ;D Well, actually I am covered with small blond hairs so it is not so bushy on my body.
I do absolutely love my armpits unshaved!
I have eczema. Shaving (in the bathtub after a long soak) helps remove the excess dead skin caused by the condition, and with it, the maddening itching it brings on.
Oh, and I get rid of a few stray hairs the epilator machine didn't yank from my arms and legs.
I have a lint-catcher screen stuffed into the bathtub drain to catch all the hair, btw.
