It felt good. I was with my father, out getting dinner. He decided to stop at auto-zone to get new windshield wipers. I was sitting in the car, waiting, and another girl walks out, notices my dad patting his pocket to locate his keys, and she goes "You don't need keys, she's driving!". It's the first time that I can think of where I've been recognized as a girl by a total stranger, and actually knew about it.
It felt really good. My dad mentioned it a few times and giggled. He is supportive, and because of today, I am much more comfortable around him.
;D
Congratz to you!
Kudos to your dad for being so great about it.
What a great feeling. :)
We all celebrate with you.
it is always great to have a total stranger recognize us in our true gender. :D
Congrats ;D That's great and that's really cool about your dad
Thats great, and it's good that you and your dad have that kind of relationship.
Thank you for posting that Samantha. Good to start the day with a smile.
Your dad is the best.
a moment to treasure. lovely dad
Thanks everyone ;D
Allow me to add my congrats - that must have felt REALLY good. I had a dream a couple of weeks ago, wherein my wife, talking about me to another couple, actually referred to me with "she" and "her", and I was in the same room, totally in drab. THAT dream felt really good. Dunno if that would ever actually happen. Hope so, someday!
Congrats! It feels great I know. Funny how one voiceless palato-alveolar fricative can make all the difference! :D
Congratulations Samantha! That must made you feel like you are on top of the world!
