Title: I'm so frustrated.
Post by: tori319 on November 16, 2010, 02:12:38 AM
My appointment with my endo to get on spiro isn't until January. Some days after my next therapy appointment. I don't know how much more waiting I'm going to be able to do. It seems like It'll be years before anything happens for me. Since I'll be seeing my therapist a few days before m endo I'm going to insist on being okayed for estrogen. I know I can't force him but If he doesn't I'm feeling like I just might self medicate I'm tired of waiting for people to decide my future. It was fine at first but I've been seeing this guy since June and I'm fed up.

Please be patient with your endo and therapist, having never had to experience gid themselves they won't understand the urgency you feel. But they will eventually ok you for hrt after what seems like an agonizingly long few months.
If you must self medicate insist on getting blood work done to make sure you don't hurt yourself.

I agree, dont self medicate. It can be dangerous.

Tori,
You look like a young girl. I am in my 50's. I know how it feels to be frustrated  :( I waited all these years to come out. January will be here before you know it. You are going about it the right way. Don't lose sight of your course.
Jo

You are lucky you have access to a qualified therapist and endo... don't self medicate as an endo can give you a better idea of what you need to have a successful transition...
