Title: Me
Post by: Kellsie on November 16, 2010, 05:07:32 PM
Okay here goes, my avatar is the most recent picture of myself.  What improvements do I need?  I have been afraid to ask.

Maybe lose a little weight?  Eyebrows?  (I know, pot=kettle, lol...).  Seriously, you look pretty good!  Maybe a bit of makeup...

Hard to see from that tiny pic but, a less pale foundation possibly and a bit of blush for contrast

I think you look nice, but I think this is good advice :)

Kellsie,
You look good.
I would as the other girls have said use less pale foundation or at least cover it with a bit of blush for contrast. I would also put a little mascara or liner on your lower lashes so that your eyes look bigger.
Remember not to use any more makeup than you absolutely have too.
Little is always better.

I would recommend hair that is longer.   I've never been a fan of wigs.  Not sure what you can do there.

Your lipstick is a bit too bright.  I would recommend toning it down.  Maybe a lighter pink it earth tone.

The important thing seems to be, experiment.

I only ever used foundation, mainly because I laced confidence and the foundation made my skin look less pastey.

But every makup video I've watched encourages experiment for diffrent situations.

I think you're on the right track. Keep learning about makeup and hair looks. I like your eyes. You could stand to accentuate them better, I think. A few lessons in contouring can minimize the appearance of nose width.

Your forehead looks rather low in that picture. If you're wearing a wig, you may need to wear the hairline a bit higher. Your face type is such that your cheeks tend appear wider in relation to your forehead. This can easily be countered with the right hair/wig style. Generally, I think, you probably want a bit more height and width above the eyes, but no width at the cheek level.

Upload the photo to one of the virtual makeover sites like Instyle's or Mary Kay's. This is a quick way to try on a bunch of different hairstyles and makeup looks. The best thing for a wig wearer is to see a good wig stylist and have the wig styled to suit your face-- or, perhaps purchase a different wig. Sometimes hair with highlights or of a lighter color can compensate for certain face issues. I've lately decided that's the case with myself.

It would be easier to give advice with a bigger picture imho.

Thanks! To be honest I think you look attractive though I feel that the angle of the photo does not flatter you. I hope you don't mind me saying this (I myself have recently lost weight) but you could do with getting rid of some of that extra neck. I don't mean it in a bad way, I know from personal experience how hard it can be to lose weight. It is totally doable though! Also, I am not a big of the hair or the eyebrows. They seem to me too bushy. You could do with a new hairstyle and some more tinner and shapely eyebrows, I liked your lips though!

All in all you're very pretty, just a couple of things to work on.

On cameras, don't you have like an automatic shot that is timed? That way you wouldn't have to stretch your arms so much.

The hair is what I will have to say something on. You should try something not so..bushy as niamh said. I'm not sure what style will work on you as I'm not a fashionista...Just consider trying out different styles.

And a nice, bright smile, showing your pearly whites, would do wonders!  You look very nice.

I think you look great... the brown/darker hair suits you ... although perhaps a different style? longer hair .. at least shoulder length or more would look better...

::hugs::

Have to agree with this. Girls look so much nicer when they smile.  ;D

All I'd say is let your hair grow out, get an arch in your eye brows, thinner and get a trimmer, go to a salon or someone with experience to teach you so you don't mess up!! I got my brows trimmed and arched and I see a big difference. :D You don't look too much like a man though, you look great <3

Kellsie,
I think you look much better your beautiful eyes look much wider and the blush helps your face to not look so washed out.
From you photo you pass very well as a women.
Good job girl.

A browner lipstick and brown and taupe shades of eyeshadow, just use the pale shade to highlight along the brow bone. Try using bronzing pearls rather than blusher and just sweep a minimal amount over your cheeks, make a smile in the mirror, then brush up and out over the apples of your cheeks towards your hairline, extending the line up to your temples. I really do mean a minimal amount as well, it is easier to add than to remove, and the idea is to just add a healthy flush to your face. A slightly darker foundation or even a tinted moisturizer will make a huge difference.  Try to find a youtube demo on how to apply several different shades of eyeshadow, it does give a softer result.

You do actually look good in that photo. A longer necklace will elongate your neck rather than draw attention to the width, it will also help to naturally draw the eye down to your cleavage.

I think the eyebrows could use a little more shaping, but that is just me.

Apart from that, I think your hair/wig might need another style - this style looks like the one the mother wears in "That 70's Show".

And uh... Personally if I were you, I would be worried about the lower part of my face (down from the cheeks) which gives a little masculine vibe. But I am a perfectionist idiot who cannot see the nice flower field if one flower is dead.

Overall, though, I would have very low chances of seeing you as anything else than a lady !
