Title: Skin tone changed on T?
Post by: Greg on November 19, 2010, 11:15:36 AM
I've been on T for about 10 months and noticed recently that my skin looks tanned (I haven't been on holiday, and it's most certainly winter). I'm assuming it's the T and I'm becoming more olive-skinned like my dad.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed something similar happening to them.

Yeah this happened to me also. I'm mostly italian but have always been rather pale. It used to take a lot of sun for me to get tan but I got tan pretty easily this last summer and I have more of my dad's skin tone now instead of being the palest one in my family. It seems that T is turning me into the italian I never was haha.

Same here, i heard it has something to do with increased blood flow though.

My skin used to be delicate and translucent, which sounds like it should be poetic but it was kind of gross; that is, you could easily see blue veins and on some areas of my legs, hair follicles whether my legs were shaved or not. I've gone from being lily pale to a bit darker and that translucent quality has vanished. I think it's just my skin getting thicker which is also making it less pale. It looks so much better now, because of this, and I've also stopped bruising at every tiny bump.

Awesome, never heard of this happening before. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm much ruddier now, like my dad. I figured it was from the increased blood volume.

Yeah this is what I assumed when I noticed it. I've also gotten comments that I look much healthier which I attribute to the blood flow as well as the confidence and comfort.

I definitely noticed a change in skin tone. I don't get as pale as I did pre-t, I get tan easier, & I don't burn at all. I'm from Ohio and even pre-t the only time I would get a sunburn was when I would go to FL. I went there for my surgery and expected to get burnt but I didn't get burnt at all, everyone else that was with me did though and i was out in the sun as much as them. So yea, I've noticed this too.

This is correct. I'm also less pale than I used to be :)

Cool thread Greg, that's a change I've never heard mentioned before. I'll be keeping an eye out when I start T to see if that happens to me.
