It's the inevitable question. Indeed, the question and the process of gender transition seem to be irrevocably bound to each other. It has been on my mind of late, quite a bit. Mostly because I'm increasingly uncomfortable with the anti-androgen medication and its effects on body chemistry.

For many, both within and without the trans community, SRS (sexual reassignment surgery) is perceived as the epitome of transition, almost like the highest grade attainable if you will. When people find out you are transsexual it is almost a knee-jerk reaction to ask "are you having surgery?" Or they ask the natural derivative of this question: "are you going all the way?". It is this second question that leads me to ponder the whole process the most.
