Tonight Tina and I went to the Dallas Day of Remembrance.

It took place at the Interfaith Peace Chapel at Cathedral of Hope, a beautiful building designed by the late Philip Johnson.

I have read criticism of some of the events as though they need be smooth and polished instead of done by us in our own way.

I wish these events did not have to occur at all.

But I fear the rate of murder and brutalization is increasing rather than diminishing.
