My parents showed me exactly where I stand in their eyes today. I called around noon to ask what time I needed to be there. I was basically told we could use you now which I read as whenever you want to come. Since we normally eat at 3pm so I arrived at 2pm and found them all sitting around the table, The meal already eaten. All I saw of the turkey as I passed from the kitchen to the living room was bones. I needless to say was a bit crushed. But I was gonna tough it out except my mom kept coming in the living room asking me to come in to the kitchen. I finally told her I it would be rude to sit at the table when you weren't invited for the meal. She tried accusing me of wanting to ruin thanksgiving. When she started getting angry I wouldn't come in, I left. She yelled out the door at me I am not going to come after you, I responded I could give a <not allowed> less if you did. Then I went home. So hope your thanksgiving is better than mine.

I am sure it was their way of punishing me for not coming earlier. However I did call and ask when they needed me to be there, and got a bull->-bleeped-<- answer in response.

No one should be treated that way, Susan.  If I lived closer I would not only be making dinner, but only inviting my true family, who are all here.

Hugs Susan.  You are the one that we all call Mother, because of your wonderful work here.  We all give thanks for you.

Susan, I am so incredibly sorry for your thanksgiving  :( I wish it would have gone better *hug*  That is a horrible way to treat a person especially family. Maybe things will change in time? I hope they do, though if I were you, it'd be hard to forgive them. I hope your Christmas or Hanukkah goes better than your Thanksgiving.

Sorry you had a bad time at your mom's Susan... It's a bummer and hurts allot when folks get all stinky like that

My sister, (the one that disowned me earlier this year) called last night to invite me over for today...

I was debating in my mind whether to go or not because I didn't feel like getting my case jumped again (she always jumps someone's case and I didn't want it to be my turn)

Anyway, I woke up sick with a sore throat etc... So I'm home alone coughing and sneezing

But I'm not alone... Because of you I have a whole family of wonderful people to hang with

I give a toast of thanks to you Susan

Happy Thanksgiving Day To EVERYONE!!! ;D

I'm sorry to hear that Susan, I hope it'll be better for you next year *hugs* I wish my family here a happy thanksgiving. Today, I'm thankful for each of you allowing me to be apart of your family on here, and tolerating my times of downness and what not. I'm also thankful to still be alive and well, my daughter, my mom for allowing my daughter and I to stay with her til I can get on my feet, that my ex didn't show his butt the other day, and some other things.

I had no turkey today either. But I did have a great big dose of Susan's to cheer me up. :) A virtual hug to you for making that possible.
Thank you Susan.
Jennifer

Agreed. My mom had to work 20 hours yesterday so turkey day is technically today for me and her when she gets home. Susan's gave me a place to cheer up while everyone else called/texted to talk about their great thanksgiving. So thank you! :)
