Mine is an acetylene torch, how about you guys?

I think I use the Makita power driver more than anything, but nothing beats a Sawzall.
Mine is a jig saw because it took me the longest to learn to use
I like hittin' stuff with hammers.
The Dremel, definately. I use it to make my own knife at grandmother's, I make the shaft only. Out of reindeer horn and birch and some pine.
Combination spanners. And a Hayne's manual (doesn't count as a tool perhaps)
Hmm, well the one I seem to get the most use of around the house is the power drill.
The one between my legs..
oh wait. Ummmmmmm... chainsaw
I'd say I use my table saw the most but the router does the coolest stuff. The lathe is fun but I don't have that many projects that require it. My woodworking tools all give me goosebumps. ::)
My Black and Decker cordless drill. with the removable chuck. Use it for just about everything. Well except as a hammer.
I know this is not very "manly" of me <snicker> but my favourite is the screwdriver. (Assuming we don't even count tape measure as a tool).
Yah, it's fun to work with big noise/stuff falls apart tools like saws and drills. But I really really appreciate the overall utility of the screwdriver.

Lol, that was my first thought.
My favorite tool is my laptop. Okay, technically perhaps not a tool. So I'm going to go with Swiss Army Knife. Multipurpose and huge cool factor.
My cordless power drill. Invaluable.
I'd have to go with aaaa dremel, or my SK torque wrench...or maybe my 3/8 ratchet...I just like the noise it makes and the click feeling.
Yes, I like tools for absurd reasons VS their actual use.
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.techzonics.com%2Fvintage-hand-drill.jpg&hash=49c7e6b001a94ee76d4f56478dd0582c09095266) I bought one like this about 6 months ago and it is great. It has torque and power and leverage to tighten or loosen some screws an electric drill won't budge. The arm that turns extends so it gives more power. I never need electricity. Sometimes whats old is new
My favorite tool? Specially folded, soggy, and cold newspaper to mold my molten glass, baby. Beautiful custom vase for mother's day? Got it. Perfectly round paper weight with your name spelled in bubbles? Got it. Exact glass replica of Conan O'Brian? Umm, probably not, but here, have this paper weight.
Yah, it's fun to work with big noise/stuff falls apart tools like saws and drills. But I really really appreciate the overall utility of the screwdriver.
True it's useful, but you never get the pleasure of pulling out a Sawzall and revving the sucker up so you can cut a 14'X14' professionally designed and built (and for our purposes here, irreplaceable) Hollywood flat (canvas, wood, steel and paint) brought in for a film shoot but which failed to take into consideration the dimensions of the door when it was built. I've got the producer, the director, the art director, the set designer and my boss all with the most precious look of 'Oh my ->-bleeped-<-ing god, for the love of jesus don't ->-bleeped-<- up or you're going to cost us a hella lot of money and we're all going to get fired for it, oh I'm so gonna crap my pants right now.'
But, even better, was after I finished the producer looks at me and says: "Now how are we going to get it back together?"
And I replied: "Buck up, Buttercup, you don't think I cut it without an idea about how to put it back together, and don't you think this is one hell of a time to be asking that in the first place?"
I got it reassembled - inside, after we got it in pieces through the doors - at full strength, taped it, painted it, put industrial fans on it and dried it out with a couple of hours to spare. The producer and director gave me a bottle of Cristal for that stunt.
It's in the background of just about every shot from Dave Chappelle Live At the Fillmore for What It's Worth (Uncensored & Unrated) and I dare you to find out where I cut it.
I used a sawzall today...VERY loud.
Yeah, the noize is just a bonus, but with the right blade I've seen them go through cold, rolled steel.
Sawzalls are quiet. If you want loud try a jackhammer with the air compressor right in your ear. When I was an apprentice I had to take a 90 pound jackhammer, cradled in my arms, and blow holes in a manhole. It was 950 that day. :P
But the tool that takes the cake for dirty and noisy is the partner saw. Cut into a bit of concrete and rebar and watch the dust and sparks fly. It will fill a large room in a matter of minutes but it will take a few years to make you deaf. In 35 years I only had to use one once. After that I found an apprentice. :D(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.justdt.com.au%2FImages%2FSlideshow%2FConcrete_Saw.jpg&hash=bb875899d39df5a7960433c3b78c67e488591828)

My GFs got a vibrator like that. The My Little Pony part, not the soldering iron.
Cordless power drill.
I also had to get rid of my plasma cutter on Wednesday...it was a sad sad time.
What's with all the DIY tools here ;D
Aren't there any other amateur mechanics in the house?? :D
channel locks, long story but short version is, had a job where it was the most versatile and useful tool for everywhere use.
(we did modify them a bit first)

Cordless power drill.
Love it too~~ It was very useful when we built our fence this summer
Any kind of saw. Electrical ones for the noise, "hand-driven" ones for the agression release.

Jackhammer ;D they are sooooo much fun to use!! But, Chainsaws and table saws are tied for second! Really, any type of saw is my favourite :P
A good paint brush.....

A good paint brush.....
 I got a good laugh out of that one. spray painting is more fun and/but messy.
I am not talented with the spray can. Too many runs...
Being a car man, I love my ratchets and sockets.
Aside from those I highly enjoy my wrenches, the impact gun, the torque wrench, breaker bar... :3 I think those are all really manly tools.
19.5 volt battery pack - it fits a 1/2 inch reversible drill, a reciprocating saw and a small circular saw.
I like a good multi-tool.
Ratchet definitely =)
Tin snips get a lot of use around my house. I don't build stuff, I just subtly repair things that aren't really designed to be user serviceable. And then patch it all together with my arsenal of tapes - I always end up finding local hardware stores while on vacation, for some reason. Duct tape, electrical tape, Chuck Norris tape (foam mounting tape), I like my sticky stuff.
my dremel!
Awww... don't make me choose!
My favorite tool of all time had to be a big, rubber handled phillips head screwdriver I had. Standard size for computer screws, of course. Could get pretty much any screw in or out with ease - even if it'd been cross threaded. Could get fantastic torque out of it, and use it all day comfortably (important, as I was a dogsbody computer shop tech at the time). I named it "Big Blackie". I loved that screwdriver - it was my #1 offsider for years. Then my idiot ex lost it, and I was furious.
Honourable mentions would be my big torque wrench, soldering iron, digital callipers, 1 metre long screwdrivers, Dremel (with "Flex Shaft" attachment! ;D) and multi tool (pliers, screwdrivers, knife, LED torch, bottle opener - very small and useful).
Said multi tool has saved my ass a few times - the most memorable when my dizzy cap worked itself loose on the highway at 2am (I must have forgotten to tighten it properly - I had just finished a head gasket change on it the day before).
Not as cool - but I love the simplicity of my "magnet on a stick" and it's cousin, "magnetic bowl".
The former is great for picking up bolts you've dropped into awkward places (say, into a full drip tray). The latter is good for storing bolts you're about to use again later (they stick to the base, and the bowl itself sticks to metal surfaces). Cheap, simple, and very useful.
hm ... I kinda feel out of tone here,
Pencils, brushes and wacom intuos 2 !
Yes they are tools, art tools
I have to add this because it makes me laugh. This is a GRS, which my dad uses all the time and comments on how he loves his GRS and doesn't know how he got along without it.

Probably a soldering iron or a Dremel.
This one's probably boring...but my utility knife is my favorite :)
I take it with me everywhere....it has a regular knife blade and a box cutter. And a clip for my belt...hehe. ;D
Tad lol
Yeah dremmel for me too
I have several that I use alot. Cordless drill, channel locks, wire strippers, glass cutting/shaping tools, Gibson Les Paul guitar and my all tube guitar amps. Right now I use my guitars & amps more than any other tools I have.
Randi
does my swiss army knife count? lol
Oh not just yeah, but hell yeah. A SAK has bud sheers (for before work), a wine screw (for after work), a pair of tweezers (for during work), and a toothpick (for lunch break). Why you can pretty much conquer half the world with a SAK. The tragic part is it's the second half of the world, you need an few F-16s, an aircraft carrier and a ->-bleeped-<-load of tanks to conquer the first half.
I've never done a show without a SAK in my pocket.
My favorite among my readily available friends, My Kabar. His name is Michael.
In a wood or metal shops, Table Saw and TIG welder.
I got tools for X-Mas
My wife is coming along with me being trans...she isn't ready to tell anyone or call me male but she is trying.
She bought me tools & a tool box for x-mas ---it's my first time owning tools!!! I am jazzed
Does a sewing machine count as a tool? if so...then that. If not i have a multi head screwdriver that has done me proud over the past 5 years...last used a week ago servicing the washing machine.
