MUMBAI: The Parksite police in Vikhroli on Sunday claimed to have solved the murder of 55-year-old Shabbir Mohammed Ansar alias Gopiamma, president of the All-India Association of Eunuchs, with the arrest of Ravi Padmanaban Reddy (49) alias Ashaamma.
Ashaamma, also a eunuch, was said to be close to Gopiamma and slated to succeed her as president of the association. During interrogation, Ashaamma reportedly told police that she committed the crime as she was in a hurry to take over the reins of the association and become the supreme authority of eunuchs.
