Title: Books for parents to help them understand.
Post by: Elijah3291 on December 06, 2010, 04:22:47 PM
My mom is big on using books to help her with problems, and help understand things.

I know she is mourning her daughter, expecially sence I have started T, does anyone know of any books that help parents understand their trans children, and helps them deal with the loss they feel for the child they thought they had?  Books that help them understand how it feels to be trans.

I already have the book "true selves" in mind

Surely, your mom cares about you very much.  She should be glad to spend the 50 dollars or so to get these books.  The links are right here.  She can order them from the website these link to.  The books mentioned in this thread by everybody will really get her on board ... or on the way to being on board ... if she will only take the time to read them with an opened mind and an opened heart with a desire to both understand and help you.

If I had a son like you, I'd be way proud of you, man.  She should be too.

Best of luck, man!    ;)

Dude, if you can afford it, get one or more for her for Christmas.  Still got time.  Amazon is good that way.  You're awesome.  Best of luck, okay?  Oh, yeah:  Rock on!
