Title: Hello!
Post by: Jessica B on December 09, 2010, 12:41:02 AM
        Hello,

I'm Violet, and I would like to introduce myself. I'm beginning to expose myself as well as reach out to our community. I am a soldier who is currently making the final plans for separation from the Military. I'm a 27 year old MtF individual and have been waiting to begin my transition. I am hoping to make friends as well as to gather resources to help me along the path to come.   I am slightly reluctant to share large amounts of personal information about myself until I've completed my separation from the Military.

I've been struggling with my gender for the majority of my life and having come from a predominately male and military house hold, along with a strong desire to please I found my way to where I am today. Over the last few years it has been harder and harder to repress myself and continue to fit in with the Military culture. I have been working with an absolutely wonderful and flexible doctor given my near consistent travel my profession demands; who has been helping me to become more secure with who I am.

Recently I've made the decision that I can no longer stay hidden and that I will work to transform this body to match who I am as a whole.  Thank you for taking the time to read this post and I look forward to meeting each of you!

        -Violet

Welcome to the site Violet  :icon_wave: Not wanting to share much until you are out is perfectly understandable. There are people here who aren't in the military and don't share much information due to being stealth so it is no problem. I'm glad you found the site and I look forward to reading your future posts  :)

Hi Violet
welcome here on the forum.

very understandable why you can't tell more, there is also no need to, you're here that's the most important.
Here are people who'll understand what your feelings are, because we're all in the same thing together.
I'll think you will find a lot of interesting posts about tg issues here.

looking forward to your posts

hug

Hello Violet,
It's so good to meet you.
Thank you for your service in the military.
And yes I understand the need of being discreet for now.
QuoteRecently I've made the decision that I can no longer stay hidden and that I will work to transform this body to match who I am as a whole.
Been there and have now started to make my body match who I am.
Looking forward to more of your postings.
Welcome to Susan's.
:)
