I had my psych assessment yesterday. He was very impressed with my extensive documents he received from my psychologist and what I had told her. He liked that I had a roadmap and goals. He was heaps nice and we went over everything from my childhood to now. He gave me the greenlight for hormones as well which suprised me as I thought that would take much longer. He said 'there isnt much more I can say now, you know what you want and where you're heading so its best you start HRT asap.' I had to make sure I heard correctly and he confirmed it. He's sending all the documentation/letters and protocols to my GP to get everything sorted so I could be starting very soon which I'm very happy about.
I walked out with the biggest smile on my face. I had been so nervous going in there but it turned out better than I expected. So looks like I'll finally be starting T in the new year, feels like a whole new start as I will also be changing my name next month as well.
Next Thursday I've got a consult for my top surgery and Dr. Linnane is sending him a letter which is a huge bonus. I didn't expect that either. I will then find out the date of my surgery as well.
So I will be getting my blood-work on the 20th of December and I see my doctor on the 5th of January as they are closing soon for the xmas holidays.
Everything is going so well, I had to share it with you guys. ;D

Thanks. I'm very happy with how everything is turning out. It's good to be sure of yourself and knowing what you want and having others seeing that as well. I'm hoping everyone else who is going through therapy or having a psych assessment has a positive outcome as well. It's such a good feeling to know you can continue along that road of your transition. I think its good to show you are mentally stable and knowing/being sure of what you want. Just stay strong guys, your time will come next and I wish you all the best of luck on your journey.
I will continue to let you guys in on my T progress and how I am going with my transition. You guys inspire me so much :D This board, even though I havent posted alot has really helped me.
