"Humans are made in the image of God - male and female. Satan, our enemy, hates God, and wants to deface God's likeness wherever he can. We are all sinners, deeply impacted by our own sinfulness and enmity toward God, by the sins of others and by life in a fallen world. Gender confusion is one example of human brokenness... Individuals are male or female. People can't 'transition' from one to the other. I haven't seen a third human gender discovered, and humanity is not 'multi-gendered.'"
-- Focus On The Family blogger Jeff Johnson in a post bemoaning the recent uptick in transgender related news stories.
If..... humans are made in god's image, male and female and Satan wants to deface that image, then how exactly is someone, appearing to be male or female, defacing that image?
No it was Loki who did it!

There is no god. Or satan. What a bunch of idiots.
I agree, these people need to grow up and face reality.
QuoteHumans are made in the image of God - male and female.
I am sorry but you have that backwards God was made in the image of Man, not mankind, but male.
I do have a question for the writer. You are supposedly a Christian, full of Christian Love. But why do you hate me so? You don't even know me.
You may be a Christian, but love is not what you are full of.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL so Ridiculous.
Actually come to think of it satan might have Given me a Penis.
that will be My excuse for giving it back when I'm laying in that Hospital bed ;)
I'm a christain and I fight the feeling of sin and guilt of crossdressing everyday! And I know god loves every one of us no matter how screwed up are minds are! I think we will be judged by are heart not our mind. I also know the people on this forum have the biggest hearts I ever seen. Most of the christains out there speak well while haveing a rotten heart.
Satan made me .... cupcakes! Yeah! Devil's Food. Yum.
Satan made me cookies. They are ebil cookies. Very ebil.
I just want to take this man to task! I hate it when there is no opportunity for comments on some of these phobic blogs!
Anyway, from the New International Version of the Bible, Genesis 1:27, " So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."
If you're a non-believer, please disregard what I say here. I'm not bringing this up as a form of religious debate in these forums. We've probably seen enough of that, huh?
My point in the quote is, what in God's creation is so hard for them to see what this verse actually says? It says he created mankind, in other words the 'human being'. It then very clearly states, God created both male and female in God's own IMAGE (singular)! Meaning of course that God is both male and female. Is God gender confused? Why then is it so difficult to contemplate that God might every once in a while, continue to make mankind reflecting more accurately God's own image, both male and female (transgender)? Case closed!
BTW, it also gives credence to my argument that God in fact did not make any mistake when God created me. God knew exactly what God was doing. I AM supposed to be this way (transgender). To the religious goofball, nutjobs out there...................................prove otherwise. Show me where this logic is fallible! They cannot!
Dawn
Satan is going to make me yet another sinfully delicious dinner tonight >:-)

God made Satan too. How's that work with your theory?
Well for me it was a jolly fun thing to be - so I guess maybe I should thank him then. :-*
I agree with Dawn in that we are made as BOTH male & female. We all have both kinds of hormones coursing thru our bloodstreams. Yes I am certain that God & us are both male & female in one body.

Too easy Tekla! If you run down that road, well, he made Hitler, Bonaparte, Dalmer, Hussein, etc. etc! They're all in God's image too. I didn't read anything in the Bible about God creating a pause button on freewill. Your actions are yours, not God's! You simply inhabit a physical body of God's image in which your spirit operates from. Of course this all depends upon whether or not you're a believer. For those who don't, none of this applies.
Dawn
he made Hitler, Bonaparte, Dalmer, Hussein, etc. etc!
Don't forget Jimmy Swaggart and Dick Cheney while you're at it.
Oh yeah, sign me up to bow low and worship that. Really? That's your best argument? Obviously all his 'work' is not all that awesome or wholesome is it?
I prefer to error on the side of caution, I believe. It's all in the heart , peace and love in all that we are.

Pascal's wager fails so hard.
Tekla, I'm not looking for contention, nor debate. As I stated in my original post to this thread. Arguments about religion and politics are not resolvable and have been through the mill on this and other sites enough, for my liking. Just so you know though, I think maybe you might assume, and quite probably incorrectly so, my personal thoughts about the contexts of religious doctrine and/or creation.
I was simply making a case of conjecture toward the ridiculous utterances of an idiot homo/transphobe who 'thinks' the answer is as simple as they portray. Nothing more, nothing less.
Dawn
hail satan!
Ahem...These people are so freaking idiotic.
It's under "Opinions & Editorials". What part of either needs further definition?
Tekla, I'll stand on all that I said. And reiterate my thoughts, once again, my just previous post.
Find someone else to harass. Your opinions are not reflective of the OP. They are intended to denigrate and harass and nothing more. Being constructive in opining is appreciated. Being belittling because you disagree in thought is not.

I don't believe in heaven or hell but if there does end up being a hell in the end I am going to kick that guy square in the nuts when I see him down there.
I don't know about making me transgendered, but apparently Satan has been in the T-shirt business for awhile now

Tell that to all the intersex people out there. And last time I checked, transsexuals are not a "third gender". What a bunch of ->-bleeped-<-s, they criticize us but don't even know anything about us.
Thanks Julie, I was hoping someone would post a link to the Church Lady-That was a good one.

Have you heard the story 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish.
I think this applies, 90% of christains dont care what you believe, 10% are f..ing nut jobs.
10% of the athiests dont care what you believe, 90% are f...ing nut jobs.
Facts are simple.
300 million people
250 million god believeing
Yet no prayer@ Public school
10 comandments banned @ A court house of law
The list is many, pushed by a few!
250 million god believeing
They do not all believe in the same form of worship.
They do not all believe in how much, or little, they ought to push it onto people who don't believe.
They do not all believe in the same texts.
Hell, they don't even agree on the name.
Even in the Bible they can't agree on the name.
Carve that in stone.
Theocrecy I agree hell no, again a few push their non believing doctrine onto 250 million god believeing americans in all thier diffrences they still believe in god. yet we must take him out of school= last 20 years of mayhem. dont say christmass it may offend someone, no more carols it's to damageing to the mind! our country was founded on judaio christain law yes we are a nation of laws( well we were ) and look how thats working.
Never ending conversation!
Either way it is sad to see the hatetred that man shows his fellow man:(
I agree Dee
Palotics and religon are man's shame.
I hope I did not offend no one, That was not my Intentions.

I'd like to know where these stats come from.
Most atheists I know don't care what you believe, they just don't want to hear about it 24/7 and so end up telling people to knock it off. That doesn't make 'em nut-jobs.
I'm a heathen otherkin.
I never get harassed by atheists for my beliefs, mostly cause I don't express them uninvited and I don't push them on others and because I don't treat them as better or more valid than anyone else's beliefs.
I however get harassed by Christians at least once a week, and not just for my beliefs, and that's not counting the more than daily events of getting YHVH and Jesus and Hell thrust at me by media, friends and family. It gets old, fast.
It appears to me that the problem is that America's dominant religion is a form of Zoroastrianism, with a nod to St Paul and Jesus.
At least that is how the Evilgelical cash-for-salvation types who get all the attention come across at this distance.
Very little to do with modern Christian thought, being wrapped up in a dualistic God/Satan, Angel/Demon Armageddon fearing mindset, straight out of ancient Iran.
Quote from: pantymancan on December 12, 2010, 02:22:27 AMthey still believe in god. yet we must take him out of school
God is male? How do you know?
As far as school, if god is taught, so should atheism, gnosticism, paganism and every other form of belief or non-belief. But when would we have time for the three R's?
we must take him out of school
You are 100% free to put as much of god as you want in any school you are willing to privately finance. The Catholics have been doing it for 100 years now.

Why should they be there? law and school should be secular.
Until we allow religion to takes us as far down the rabbit hole as it can we will not be free of its oppression . When the people see how useless their beliefs are then they will change. Until then expect more of the same.
