Jenci Spradlin has as much new stuff about Akasha Adonis's situation over in Jackson as you're likely to find. I won't repeat all of the things that you can read for yourself. But I do want to say a couple of things.

2. Even if what the police say is true — that Adonis shoved first the man who broke her jaw and ripped out her teeth — that doesn't make what happened to her okay. All the time, when women are harassed, people ask, "Why didn't you just punch him?"

This is why. Because a man can be verbally harassing you (which the police stipulate did occur) and if you do anything other than just take it, the police might decide you don't need justice.
