Title: Bottom surgery and getting periods?
Post by: Cody Jensen on December 25, 2010, 09:04:42 PM
For FtMs, once the bottom surgery (not including a hysto) is done, you don't get your period either way anymore correct?

You will most likely stop getting them a while before that because of T. Usually, surgeons want you to wait at least a year of being on T to get bottom surgery.

A hysto would be  insisted on for either a meta or phallo, especially if you had urethral hook-up.

So a hysto is included in the bottom surgery then?

Not included in the pricing. I am not sure if a hysto is required for a release or not. Is required for phallo and with urethra lengthening because I believe they close up the vaginal area.

Anything that requires a vaginectomy (basically, anything with a urethral hookup) will require a hysto. They can't leave the uterus in there with nowhere to drain.

Without a hysto, there's always a chance of bleeding, however slight. So if you elect for a bottom surgery option that doesn't require a hysto (release is the only one I can think of) then you may still bleed, and almost certainly will if you stop T.

No guy want to have a period or any female type leakage down there.  Best to have a total hyster before or with lower ftm surgery.  You can have a release or even a metio still have your front hole, but why would a guy want to still have it.  I want a total hyster asap I have the money and find a dr to do it.

Now I see. Thanks for clearing things up. Just out of curiousity, this is something I have always wondered, and though I will go through whatever amount of pain it takes to become who I want to be, it is nice to be prepared. So I am wondering, how bad is the pain? (If it helps I think I will be getting a meta).

I like the idea of getting the meta type surgery; you will still have all the feelings afterwards and hopefully good length for penatration.

highly unlikely, 2 inches don't reach far.

2 inches is much more than I have now, thou I think you need 3 inches to really be useable.

The point being, a meta doesn't give much for length.

Meta is not all that painful.  A bit uncomfortable but not unbearable or excruciatingly painful at all.  Advil-worthy at most, for the most part.

You can get a release (simple meta) and implants without hysto or vaginectomy.  For some guys they don't want the hysto.  That was the first thing I did.  I had to get lower surgery to get rid of the vag.  ::shudder:: hated that thing.

Thnaks, Good to hear, Jay.  Did you have urethra lengthing and can you pee standing by unziping your jeans like a  natural born guy?

I unzip and have to pull the pants down another inch to clear the fly, but yes.  And I've also found communities of cis-men with tiny penises, so I'm not alone there.

Sorry which doctor did you say you went to bottom surgery for Jay? Also do you find you still need to pack after bottom surgery (I can't remember if I already asked you that)?

I went to Dr. Miro in Belgrade.  I don't use a packer any more, and don't have any appreciable bulge.
