Hove cross-dressing store to close

A trailblazing shop which catered for cross-dressers has fallen victim to the recession.

Lacies, which led the way for the transgender and ->-bleeped-<- communities in Brighton and Hove, is to close.

Pioneering owner Sue Sheppard will sell her last set of padded bras at the store in Portland Road, Hove, tomorrow.

Damn, that's sad. I live ten minutes' drive away and I didn't even know about this place (though it sounds as though it caters mainly for MTF - correct me if I'm wrong.)

I hope they manage to retain an online presence. That seems to be the way to go, these days.
