Title: New binder is it the right one?
Post by: Darrin Scott on January 03, 2011, 01:46:19 PM
I just got the tri-top XL today and I have it on. It's not really tight, but it does hold all of my junk.

Here are some pics. Is it ok or should I go for the XXL or L?

I had a bit of a hard time getting good pictures. I have a bulky DSLR camera. Not a point and shoot so getting pictures is more difficult.

How do you feel?  Can you take a deep breath?  Cough?  If it's not uncomfortably tight, I wouldn't go looser.  Whether you want to go tighter depends on how you feel in it.  If you're happy, don't go tighter.  :)

I breathe just fine. How does it look judging by the pictures?

The front profile looks really good and the side is definately passable, especially with a patterned shirt.  The more important question is how do you feel?  There's only so much we can do when we're so damn 'blessed' though  ::)

Yup what he said. From dead on it looks good from the side it looks alright. I see guys sometimes with bigger than yours and no one questions them. Personally when I got mine it was really tight but it was worth the trade off of being almost totally flat. If you're comfortable with the binding power then keep it. Too loose for you? Then get a L. It's just all up to what your comfortable in.

Thanks.

I quite like this binder. It's easy to get on and I think it's about as flat as any binder will get me. The only problem I have is bounce. I could get the L but I'm worried it'll be too tight and all my stuff won't fit in there like with the 988. Is there any other way to help with bounce? Would a compression shirt help?

Hmm, mine definately don't bounce if the binder is tight enough.  Perhaps a sports bra underneath?  That would give you a bit more support and the extra layer would make the binder a bit tighter.
