I've heard that T can increase the frequency or severity of yeast infections, but I can't find any info on the subject beyond that. This concerns me. It would really suck if manhood involved constantly applying medicated creams to a swollen and painful vagina. I'm not looking for info about treating or preventing yeast infections in general, just the possible relationship between yeast infections and T. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this?
I've been on T for 9 months and I haven't encountered ANY problems down there. I used to get yeast infections quite often and now I don't get them at all. I was worried T would make things worse but everything is better.
Nope.......never any problems with that.
Never had a yeast infection as far as I know. (not sure if its one of those things you can have and not know about) And that hasn't changed since on T.
I used to get them every six months, not sure why, and I haven't had one since being on T
Good to hear! I know that estrogen-based birth control tends to make people more prone to yeast infections, so it makes sense that T would do the opposite. Maybe yeast infections are listed as a side-effect in some places just because any hormonal change can cause them.
Haven't had one since I started. But then, I didn't get them terribly frequently before - 3 in my adult life - so I can't say there's any connection between starting T and not getting them.
