Title: The house they called her home.
Post by: wannalivethetruth on January 10, 2011, 02:22:53 AM
Itching and bitching inside for more that 6 years, shes ready to come out and show what she can give. She has fear of losing the ones that she loves, but know she has to do it inorder to fly like a dove. She looks outside of her permanent dome, wondering how she can fix up the place people call her home. She tells them that shes moving and making a big step then she looks around again and no one there to help. Stressed, a mess, she wonders what she can do and starts painting the inside room by room. Slowly the house is begining to look just right, everything is in place just for the night. Hatching and patching what needed to be mend, she done everything without her bestfriend. just one more thing before the house is done a white picket fence and a bright yellow sun. To her, it will never rain again, for the roof if mended and shes her own best friend. +++++ i made this poem and i hope you can relate to it...let me know what you think and how you related to it. :)

For the people that dont understand this poem... The house would be your body. The bestfriend would be the people that mean the most to you or you admire their opion. The sun and white picket fence would be srs or your feeling of completion from transitioning. The painting and fixing up and mending would be hormones of course. When the poem says shes her own best friend...that means she has finally found happiness in herself. :)

Some people aren't into poetry maybe or the name of the thread lost them. I liked it BTW.
