Just like it says. I've been watching videos and everyone seems to have at least a little change. No one around me has seen any change. Even my aunt who isn't usually around didn't notice any change. It's so frustrating! Plus the red death came around a couple days ago and keeps starting and stopping. Sorry tmi. I just wanted to vent.
Feel anything down there?
A little bit more than usual within the first week but in the last two weeks if anything I've felt less than usual and I kept hearing growth was a major thing within the first couple weeks but no obvious growth, though I admit I avoid looking at it whenever possible.
Well, it usually starts feeling weird first. Do you have a sore throat?
Nope :( first week I did but after that it felt entirely normal. I feel like I started to have the changes in the first week but then it stopped entirely within that week. I missed my second injection by two days and thought maybe that was it but my trans guy friends told me that shouldn't effect anything.
Give it some time. Some people just react quicker than others. I didn't experience much in the way of changes my first month or so, either. I thought I was experiencing changes, but really I was just seeing what I wanted to see (e.g., I thought I was getting more acne, or was hungrier more often, but there was really no substantial change). Around a month in, changes started happening pretty quickly, and now 2.5 months in I've got hair everywhere, facial hair coming in, a noticeably deeper voice, and all kinds of other changes. So don't worry; you'll get there if you give it a little time. :)
Thanks man :) Sorry guys I'm just frustrated.
Don't worry Andrew, it could be the dosage, it could be your body is more slow with changes...
I didn't had any change until the second month or third. And they were not very noticeable (My voice didn't crack until 4-5 months...). I was given a type of shots that were almost destroying me (massive emotional peaks, usually the worst, didn't stop bleeding, body was tired entire time...) then I did my own research and asked my endo for other kind of shot (different brand + more dosage). The two shots worked different, the first one, taken once a month, was "we put T on your body, when it runs out, you just get pissed out". The second one (which I've been taken for almost 2 years now) is "this is gonna liberate your OWN T on your body" So it doesn't run out, and it isn't so aggressive, since is my own body who makes the T. I take this once every three months, the changes were slow, but I feel better emotionaly and physically.
So if I were you I would wait some time, if you feel right and you start experiencing changes I would say stick to it. If you feel uncomfortable and something just feels wrong (red death, pain, being tired all the time, etc) I would suggest talking to your endo for a change of shots/brand/dosage maybe?
Good luck man!
Mr. Hyde, thanks for the advice. I'm glad to see a few people didn't have changes in the first month. I see my doc in around 2 months and they will do my first bloodwork then because my doc didn't ask for bloodwork before I started. I'll probably be asking for an increase then because I'm on a low dose compared to what I've found to be average. If the changes aren't happening at all still I might ask for them to look into it more.
Everyone is different. For example I was on the generally accepted "normal full dose" My changes happened very quickly but after my first bloodwork I found that my T levels were double what they should be. My dose got cut in half and I was fine. Everyone reacts to it differently, you just need to give it time. For a bit it might just be hit or miss. Also for the record I had one period after I started T but not another after that.
Cant offer any concrete advice seeing as i'm not on T yet but hang on in there, the changes will come. It could be you had a high T level anyway so the dosage your on isnt making much difference? But if the red death keeps starting and stopping thats definitely a sign that somethings going on inside your body. Keep your chin up, Andrew, you'll get there
Also, one thing you shouldn't do is compare your dosage to those of others; we're all different and your required dose may be too high/low for someone else.
I do sympathise about the impatience, but hang in there :) Keep weekly vids/voice recordings to check how your voice is progressing. About the Red Death, I did get another about a month after starting, but I've had no more since (yet - PCOS makes me irregular, so I'm not holding my breath just yet, but I'm hopeful).
I'm trying to remember back. I am fairly certain that I didn't have any changes the first month when I started. The difference was I didn't expect any. I had my levels read before I started and my T level was rock bottom. So I knew it would take a while to build up.
Some people naturally have a better starting off point than others. Once my changes started happening they kept on going in a nice steady way. Now my levels are in the mid-average range for a bio-man. I'm very happy with what T has done for me so far so just hang in there man. It will happen and you'll look back 6 months later and barely remember what it was like before.
Thanks everyone, I'm sorry now I really how whiny my post sounds. I am grateful to be on T. I shouldn't compare myself or my dose to others, ya'll are right. I guess part of my frustration is they didn't do any bloodwork yet so I have no clue where I'm at. Woke up with a sore throat today so maybe possibly my voice might start to change... or maybe I'm just getting sick but a guy can dream right?
You all are awesome and thank you for putting up with my constant questions lately. It's like I did all of this research to at least have a vague idea and understand what T does and then I get to this point feeling all prepared and realize I really have no clue.

That I have been trying to do since I have a webcam I just get nervous talking to a camera. But I did make on two days on T and I think I'll make one 1 month on T. Then kinda compare it. :)
Don't worry about sounding whiny, at 3 weeks I felt the same I had no changes at all and feel pretty crap about it but at about a month and a half my voice started breaking and I had junk growth.
T works a little bit differently with eveyone. :)
Hey Andrew,
I'm sorry you haven't noticed any changes lately. But changes will come, just know that they will come. Hope they come soon for ya. :)
Just for the record, I did notice that I thought your picture looked way better.
Patience, my good man!
You'll get there. It affects everyone differently, it could be your dose, etc. etc. When you DO see changes, it'll be the most exciting thing ever :D And we can't wait to hear about it.
Hey thanks everyone :) Patience was never something I was good at but I'm working on it. My mom swears my nose looks like it's widening? Kinda random but maybe a change.
Andy- Thanks man :)
Nathan- thanks you're looking great in your picture btw :)
Dominick- Thanks :)
Morgan- That's good to know cause once they start no doubt I'll be excitedly ranting about it on my blog here :P I've been following your blog btw. Pretty awesome :)
