Chris Tina Foxx Bruce, a transgender personal fitness trainer who's become something of a celebrity since being profiled by Dallas Voice a few months ago, talks about some discrimination she suffered recently at the hands of a Dallas gym owner.

In her latest video blog posted on Saturday, Foxx Bruce explains that she was interested in contracting with the owner to use his gyms, which are convenient to many of her clients.

"When I walked in, you would have thought I had beaten his child," she says.

I watched this and read the article yesterday and found it a bit troubling that in this article there was an announcement to run for Senate then towards the end vote for me to win Diva title.

I may take some heat for this but when I see a trans woman and then she opens her mouth and out come's a man's voice, I have to ask myself, "Why doesn't she even try?"

Until transgender people are about as unusual as a skinned knee, our presentation will matter.  If you're worried about being discriminated against, if you concerned about prejudice, why don't you do your best to conform to socially accepted gender norms, at least until you get your foot in the door.  Then you will have a platform from which to educate.

I have seen and heard many Transwomen who have a male voice.  I have even met some GGs that have a male voice.  I guess it is how ever you present yourself.
