Title: Do I have potential to pass?
Post by: tori319 on January 14, 2011, 06:33:20 PM
I can't believe I'm doing this. I posted pics on another site but I was in boy mode and everyone said they couldn't tell. I've never really been into cross dressing so I didn't have any wigs or women's clothes. I don't really have much interest in make up so I'm not wearing any. I finally found an old wig that my had when she was going through chemo, and I bought an androgynous looking tank top as well as black skinny jeans. I know that my jaw and brow bones are prominent  and that my shoulders are broad. My mom is very light skinned so that why the wig is so light which I realize doesn't go with my skin tone. I'm still pre everything and I just want to know if you think I have potential.
Ps. I just used socks for breasts I didn't have anything else lol.

Do I look I have a chance?

More than a chance. You look like a girl to me. The arms are the only thing that stands out for me. But if I didn't know you were trans, I'd probably just think you're an athlete.

Yeah, I went through work out to be a man faze.Thanks.

I tried the same.

I think you're doing good! As time progresses you'll continue looking even better.

Arms can just be passed off as being athletic, as said before; I wouldn't notice it typically. Try without the lip piercings as mentioned; it might help a little bit more.

I'm pre hrt and 19 so hopefully my arms will shrink down. As far as the piercings go, I'm really not that feminine, and I'm not a girly girl. I just want to pass. Thanks for the feedback much appreciated.

You'll get alot more changes than just arms shrinking. I was initially going to ask what month of hormones you were on. Now that I know you're pre-hrt I would say you have more than just "potential".

I wouldn't worry too much :)

Definate pass! I wouldnt worry about the arms or piercings too much, women have muscle too and if you dont want to present as girly girly then keep the snake bites.

I see snake bites on so many FTM dudes that I have come to associate them with FTM.
A few months ago I passed a kid in the mall with them and my first thought was to wonder if he was FTM.

I think you look great for being pre-HRT. Your brow is less prominent than you think.

As for the snakebites, I think it's more of a young person thing than FTM although I do see what you mean Cynthia.

I say keep 'em though, they look hella cute.

Finally we get to see Tori.  :icon_wave:

And yes I say "Pass".  I don't care for the snake bites, but to each their own.

Girl you pass! I love the picture with the glasses, I like the snake bites! Normally I don't like piercing eithers..

Hi Tori...

Yep darling shake yer booty..... you look v.femme to me if yous be pre HRT, and at 19 I'm sure they'll make a hell of a difference...to you in many ways...

If you wish to live as a woman full-time I doubt outwardly you'd have any problemo...

Go seek....  :o

Hi Tori

You have an excellent to fantastic chance of passing given that what you have showed us is your pre HRT images.  Yes you have an good facial features and an excellent body and as others have said a little too much muscle on the arms.

Of course the snake bits, you could lose, but if you love them, then keep them.  Get on HRT as soon as possible and you will be beautiful.

Kind regards
Sarah B

Definely a girl.  I'd say either the piercings or the glasses, but not both.  They don't match, but more feminine frames would go ok.  The snake bites would look edgy with a classy gown and up-do too.

Tori.

I don't personally go a load for piercings, but I'm old, so it doesn't count.

Hope others don't mind, but I think the glassses give you a slightly hauty, almost intellectual look. But quite stern. Your eyes are nice and gentle.

The hat's really cool.

Your body is to die for. Love your clear skin. Your tone is beautiful and the hair really sets it off.

Wouldn't worry too much about your arms. They are fine. But you don't need them any bulkier.

Thank you so much for posting these. We've been looking at that very cute girl in your avitar for a while now. Nice to see the real you.

Tori, with what you've shown in your photos, you have a very feminine build already. And you're pre-HRT? You're very lucky. You could pass NOW with very little work even without HRT. Your slim build is going to work to your advantage! And your face does not look masculine to me.

Honestly I can't see anything in your photos that says "male". Your body is great, and I don't think you need any facial surgery at all... any surgery would just simply be refinement of what you already have, no major changes needed.

I don't hand out compliments very often.. but I think you've got fantastic potential, not only to be passable, but be beautifully passable. :-)

I agree. I think you pass even pre hrt and with hrt you would be unstoppable! Hehe. I really don't see anything in those pictures that seems masculine at all. As for the snake bites I know quite a few girls that have them and I personally love them but it's up to you :)

Yeah, I finally decided to show myself. I'm actually really surprised by the comments. I guess I expected you guys to say I had a good chance, but to tell me that I pass already is amazing. I just got the snakebites about a month ago and love them. I also plan to stretch my ears and get my tongue pierced. What can I say, piercings are addicting. I like to think that had I been born a girl I would have been a tomboy, so i do like the look. Thanks for the advice on the glasses, there not real but I love hipster glasses so I'm always buying them. I still hope that my shoulders, feet, ribcage,  and hands shrink a little. But you guys really have no idea how much you brightened up my day thank you all for the ammazing comments.

I have to agree with everyone here that you totally pass to me. Also, I love your big lips! The piercings maybe do make them look at little more masculine, but I think your lips are awesome.

Yep definitely pass, just the arms need to be less toned but i doubt that would prevent you from passing. Also...stop dying your hair so much girl! Deep conditioning lol

Yeah I want to get some tattoos too, but I'm waiting to find something I'm willing to have for the rest of my life.

@KillBelle I just started growing my hair last march so it's not that long. I had to use my moms old wig. Besides I don't like that color with my skin.

Thanks again everybody.

It's hard to say with any certainty.

I say that having said the same myself and realizing there's no real way of validating that.  Being raised male made it difficult, if not impossible, to develop any behaviors/interests that would have fallen outside of the "tomboy" spectrum and, most important, been validated for those interests.

Can't you? There are feminine and masculine men and women. I was actually equally around men and women growing up and have interests that fall on both ends of the spectrum. I mean obviously you can't know for sure but it wouldn't be much of a stretch.

"Historically, tomboys have been defined by their less feminine style of dress including the wearing of boys' clothes, as well as being more physically active than other girls."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomboy#History (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomboy#History)

Did you not wear a dress becuase you were a tomboy, or because you were labeled a boy and "boys don't do that".  Further, had you worn a dress (being identified as a boy) what would the reaction have been?  Its not a stretch, either, for transgendered children to engage in stereotypical behavior of their physical genders becuase of social, as well as internalized, pressures to conform to their birth assigned gender.  So did you play sports because you wanted to or because it made your life easier and no one freaked out the way they did when you played house and you were the mommie?

There's no right or wrong answers, the point is anything is possible.
