Title: Redness after binding
Post by: Berren on January 14, 2011, 11:47:09 PM
I've been binding for about 8 months now, and a while ago I asked about a similar redness, which I was told was completely normal if you bind (though I assume it's much less red if you have smaller breasts); But in the last few months I've noticed that the redness is slightly different. It has a kind of shine to it, and it feels quite different from the skin which isn't red, like it's smoother. It's in the places where my chest kind of folds over (does that even make sense?). I'm concerned whether this will be permanent or not? I bind everyday, and I can't really afford to not bind for a while just to see if it will go away. I have about a D sized chest, so I was wondering if any other guys have experienced this? If it isn't permanent, then I'm not really concerned as it doesn't exactly bother me other than esthetically, which isn't too much of a hassle to begin with. If it is permanent, or if even after not binding for a long time it leaves at least some redness, will it get any better once you get top surgery? I think it might be something to do with accumulation of sweat in those areas, but I'm not certain, so I'd like some input if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a basic rash type of sitch you have. I have the same thing under my breasts (I'm about your size). Just make sure to keep it clean and dry and you should be fine.

Fine as in..? Does it get any less red and does the skin go back to normal?

If you can keep the irritation down (that sounds like what it is) then redness should go away and not come back. The shine is your skin polishing itself, basically.

Ive gotten this darkness, seems permanent to me, from binding with underworks. Ive been trying to use bio oil though to help.
