Calling all Catholics and Catholicy inclined out there. I think I have found the perfect patron saint, Saint Wilgefortis.
According to wikipedia her story goes thus..
"A teen-aged noblewoman named Wilgefortis had been promised in marriage by her father to a pagan king. To thwart the unwanted wedding, she had taken a vow of virginity, and prayed that she would be made repulsive. In answer to her prayers she sprouted a beard, which ended the engagement. In anger, Wilgefortis's father had her crucified."
This is her.

She is also known as St Uncumber.

There are two St. Teklas, one male, one female.
cool ;D
I like the "Bearded Virgin Extraordiniaire"
She should have some action movie made of her.
Just instead of people being killed, they would just sprout facial hair.
In the climax confrontation, the bad guy suddenly grows a mustache..

bahahahahaha!!!
Oh hey, I remember her!
Found her while I was doing some research and discovered this amazing thing: Calendar LGBT Saints! (http://www.otkenyer.hu/halsall/lgbh-gaysts.html)
I just spent some time looking at that site. Although I'm not a religious person and have my own views about it, the possible history in the bible intrigues me none the less. I've book marked the site for later reference.
Thanks for putting it up!
