Leslie Feinberg, author of "Stone Butch Blues" as well as "Transgender Warriors" and "Trans Liberation" has been very ill since 2007.

I loved the Roman à clef aspects of Stone Butch Blues even though I think I would have much preferred Leslie had written an open memoir that included her Marxism, movement involvement and spoke about being an editor and writer for Worker's World.

Too often people who are transsexual or transgender are treated as though the only activism they could possibly be interested in involved transsexualism or ->-bleeped-<-.  While I am too anarchistic to be a communist I hale Leslie as a comrade and fellow leftist.
