Hi all. I wouldnt necesarly say i have broad shoulders..i just have a lot of muscle mass on my shoulders and arms ect. I also have fat. Im hoping it appears to be broad but thats the only case after hrt. I would like to know..how will hrt effect my shoulders? will iy help any? Thxs
HRT will make your shoulders rounder and softer looking, but cannot do anything about the supporting bone structure.
You're stuck with what you have.
However, learning to dress to your body shape can minimise how broad your shoulders look; wear clothes that draw attention to the bust and have plunging necklines.
What do you mean plunnging necklines?
Try google.

Good to know!
I've noticed that women tend to allow their shoulders to be rounder than men. I can't say this always accounts for their shoulders appearing to be smaller, of course. But if you allow your shoulders to hunch a little, in the way the PE teacher, at school, alwasy told you to correct, you will notice that the width of your upper bidy is slightly reduced. It's also rather relaxing.
As you develop breasts, I would imagine this will become automatic. Perhaps a reason to wish for big boobs?
I was blessed with broad shoulders. Ha! ::)
Unfortunately, HRT will do nothing to our bone structures.
I have quite a bit of arm fat which I suspect makes my shoulders look broader.
Losing weight will probably make them appear smaller.
Fortunately, it's mostly fat not muscle mass.
Muscle mass leaves slowly (i.e. 5 or 6 years). When I lost 70 pounds over 18 months I lost about 30 pounds of muscle. My upper chest went from about 46 to 40. Now when I put on weight my deltoids seem soft.
Ah! Hope. I don't know if it's the Body Dysphoria or what but I am feeling huge. And I know deep down that I am not. So, I'm always trying to hide what I can. All these suggestions really help me out.

Steph, liked some of the u-tube stuff on your blog on research for TG. I have meet many beautiful MTF's that are tall and broad. They are real fun individuals and have a lot of confidence. Hey I am sure you have met some big and beautiful genetic girls that are comfortable with themselves. Other people lack confidence and always find fault in themselves. Many things about your personality do not change during and after transition. Good luck.
Awww. You are Soooo NICE! Thanks for that. I needed it.
