Title: My day Yesterday.
Post by: faith folau on January 21, 2011, 02:56:26 PM
Yesterday when I was on my virtual book tour to promote my book.  I came across a bunch of Hawaiian people of hawaii in a forum bashing my sexuality, me, and my book.

And at first of course reading the negative feed back, I felt mad and sad and the same time.  But I than I remembered a very famouse transsexual website owner, told me that any advertising and promotion whether its positive or negative, is good advertising.

So there for I just let them go and have there fun, and what made me kind of upset is that these where my own people! :embarrassed:

Now I welcome peoples opinion.  We are all entiltled to one.

Have a wonder day and aloha,

Faith Folau.

I managed to find this book, online, for download. The cost was a little over £3. http://www.lulu.com/product/file-download/stoned-honor-special-edition/14591729?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/4 (http://www.lulu.com/product/file-download/stoned-honor-special-edition/14591729?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/4)

I've just finished reading it.

It's not a long book. About 60 pages. It includes some photographs.

It is recollections of life, growing up in poverty, in Hawaii. The style is positive and doesn't decend into self pity at all.

The entire book is describing how the writer has found ways to deal with her life and the questions it has thrown up. The incidents are described briefly but sufficiently to ensure the full horror that each would be expected to impart.

The writing style is narritive. The language betrays a limited education. But the insights suggest a sharp intelegence.

I have to say, I really enjoyed reading this very positive book.
