Title: Joe Jackson's Real Men
Post by: Dierdre Lenore on January 21, 2011, 04:55:55 PM
I don't know exactly why this song has always gotten me, Perhaps it's Joe's onslaught towards different people and hopefully tolerance building during the 80's I am not even sure if that is worded the way I want it. But for my wife's birthday this year a friend and I have translated Mr Jackson's piano, (Very difficult) into kind of punk rock guitar with driving drums. Now I will do the vocals this upcoming week and present it to her. I'm not sure how she'll react, it's not really a love song, or anything like that. I just really feel the need to do it. Hope she loves it! Even typing about it raises my anxiety!
Thanx,
Pansy

Good luck to you. Very hard to transcribe between instruments like this, what a great idea!
