i dont suppose anyone writes books and fancies writing a book for little ones to explain when someone they care for changes gender...i cannot find any literature to try to explain to my little one what is going to happen to his brother (soon to be sister)
please please please someone who is talented in that way publish one so i can buy it...

I've actually kind of considered writing a children's book which.. very poorly, would try and explain that a person is what a person is even if someone tries to tell them otherwise.. but I've been hesitant to actually get the work done.

I wouldn't have the first clue how to write a children's story.

They have some help sections and there is one about explaining to children. Unfortunately it assumes that the transitioner is a parent and not a sibling, but I think with a bit of rewriting it could possibly be adapted. Here:

I have just spoke to someone from gires and they have a book being written aimed at youngsters.
Also there is a good basic story in the families section, the person i spoke to was so lovely and guided me to it

I wish there were some FTM stuff. I've never seen any. I guess the MTFs are both more visible and more...needing of this kind of story. (I'm too tired to rephrase that. Short on sleep, and haven't had my coffee yet.)
While it is, indeed sad that there are not more books aimed at youngsters, MtF and FtM, I have a feeling that, most children will pit the pieces together with what there is.
Introducing children to the essential concept that it's perfectly OK for anyone to express themselves in whichever clothes they choose is, I believe, enough.
I will be surprised if more books don't appear and almost every aspect begings to be covered. With that, there will enevitably be a lot of dross and questionable stuff.
But in the meantime,we can take advantage of the parcity of books by filtering what we show to children.
The only values we need to instill in children are those of tolerace of differences.
