Same.... as long as she or he wasn't like the airhead chearleaders at my school.
wasn't like the airhead chearleaders at my school.
What? They come in other flavors other than airhead? I don't think so.
And there are LGBT cheer groups, the one in SF, Cheer SF is over 25 years old, and there is a huge one in LA too. You you could have your cake and eat it too.

I always wanted to be one in hs. :( :( :(
Well, you can be one now, and best of all Cheer SF and Cheer LA (and I'm sure there are more) do the full aerials that they don't let kids in HS do because their afraid of life-threatening injuries.
Those places are 6 and 9 hours from me lol. I'm kinda over it, I just really wanted to be one in high school. I always wanted to be the pretty blonde cheerleader who dated the quarterback haha. =/ Now I'd rather just be me dating a football player lol.
I always wanted to be the quarterback.
Actually, at my school it was the lacrosse players, but same general idea.
To be one, no not really. To be built like one, damn straight.
How many no s do i need to put before it becomes 'hell no?' :D

The cheerleaders when I was in high school were mostly airheads except for a few brilliant minds and creative souls. I really didn't like cheerleaders snobbery.
As Janet said,
To be built like one.
Same as Playgirl
Play Bunny.
Just about any Hollywood starlet.
Did anyone read that article on HH about what goes in the HH mansion.? I always thought it would be sick but was a bit surprised it was worse than that. I really do feel for those girls, I know they walk in with the eyes half closed but Hooly-Dolly.
Cindy
I'll stick with being emo if it's all the same to you.
Well, the ex and I were cheerleaders for Halloween back in 2007 with actual real uniforms we got on the internet. Shaved my beard for the first time in 10 years for that. The ladies liked it so I kept it off. That, along with the fact that I loved being out female if for just that night, is at least partly responsible for my transition later. There are pictures of it on Facebook that none of you will EVER see!

Aw come on Mel. LOL
Ok, turns out the new me is a glory-hound, shameless and brave and how many cheerleader threads ever pop up on Susan's anyway? Here it is, but don't say I didn't warn you. It is hideous beyond compare. Burn the retinas out of your eyes bad.
There was a costume contest vote at this party and I came in second by one vote because a few people thought I was actually female, but found out after the vote that I wasn't. Those same people are all now in the mad-house. :icon_mrhappy: I did keep that black mini though. It is hanging in my closet right now ready to be unleashed on the unsuspecting masses.

Awwww You're so cute. Melody.
Thank you. The ex still insists "there were no signs." Hehe.
Melody, I love how you're looking like you're having the best time ever in every photo I've seen of you.
Thanks Lee. That is one of the rare before photos that looks like that. Probably because I came out to play. I didn't have a name yet.

They never see any signs. Mine did not ether and she knew I have a problem with GID.
Right now? No, not really. But I do wish I had the chance to be one.

You do have a chance. I'll hold auditions.
Does the uniform have both dark green and dark blue, and do I get a year or two of feminisation beforehand? :D

Dark on dark doesn't work well. A fave color and contrast is perfect. You may have a year or two, just let me know when you're ready.

Awww. Light blue and dark green?
I was one. It was fun for a while. I think I did it to overcome the stigma I felt in being a female in brainy classes; perhaps to bug my intellectual family as well. I wanted to increase my chances to date; especially since I was taller than the majority of boys, and in those days, it seemed impossible to feel feminine if the man was shorter. I did get to date a jock; even stayed with him after he gave me a black eye one night. :(
But after I graduated high school, I went into the closet with regards to my cheerleading. I never told anyone. It was shameful; after all they are "airheads." I didn't talk about the black eye(s) either. Years later that boyfriend sincerely apologized to me. It still feels vulnerable to talk about both things. But I am free; no more closets for me.
I hope you enjoy the perspective.
Ruby :)
Yep, I actually got to be one for a day when the football players and the cheerleaders got to switch for the powder puff game. It was sooo cool. I was in la-la land. I had a few guys think I was really a girl when I had stopped to get some things at a little convenient store around the block. They whistled and I got goose-bumps.
I also got into trouble because the girl that switched with me, had a hard time trying to get it back. I was eventually called to the office where I just told them I had lost it but found it again....yeah, right ;D !

Cute!!! Love it! GO MELODY!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, dear god, I'm regretting that photo. Put on the mini a few minutes ago just for kicks and was thinking about wearing it to karaoke night, but chickened out.

Nothing more emo than a cheerleader for a team that always loses. Be a Chicago Cubs Cheerleader, that would be new frontiers of emo.
