Hi, I was just wondering if anyone here has noticed their hairline going up in the corners on your scalp. I notice whenever I lift my hair up it seems like it is going in by an inch or more. This is really starting to freak me out. I am not sure it doesn't
seem to be getting worse or anything. But I dont want my hair to fall out. I am currently 22 years old. If I start anti androgens and e within a year should I be fine? I have noticed this thing with my hairline for the last 3 or so years. I am not sure if it is getting worse or not. Perhaps it has more to do with skull growth while going through male puberty more than anything. I mean it doesn't seem like it is going in any worse but I am afraid that it may be how hair loss starts. I need to get on E fast I know that. But there just seems to be so many hurdles to overcome right now. I plan to start letting it grow very soon. But am definitely concerned about it. It seems like my hair is thick in most places. However I do not want to go bald before I am ready to start my transition. Here are some pics of my current hair.
*I originally posted this in the beauty hair care section but since I noticed that no one actually goes there I thought I would move it over here.

I have very advanced hair loss but it is slowly return, just not has much as I would like.
Are you eating properly?
I've been struggling with an eating disorder the last 4 years, and it has caused me to lose a LOT of my hair, especially at the corners. There are mornings where i wake up with patches of hair all over the pillow.
I am eating healthier now, with 3 meals a day and my hair is growing back in and things are going back to normal. So diet is very essential.
I've known a couple of guys that started to go bald in their 20's. I'm not say that's you though because I've also seen other guy that just have that hair line.
If your worried about it you could try propecia until you start HRT.
Some biological women have hairlines that recede a bit like that. I don't think you really have anything to worry about unless it looked like obvious male pattern baldness taking action.
I think perhaps it may just be the way my natural hairline is. It doesn't seem like hair is falling out or anything. It just seems odd however why it goes in like that at the corners. I'm just afraid it will slowly creep backwards or something. I do plan on starting an anti androgen hopefully in 6 months to a year and then HRT. But I really want to keep my hair. Generally it is very thick. But preventative maintenance seems to be the best bet in keeping it that way.
Perhaps I will try something like Rogaine or something in the mean time. However I am currently on a tight budget. lol, if my hair keeps how it is now. I do not see there being a problem. I know a lot of bio women with the same hairline I have. I just dont want to lose it, that is all. There has to be some effective products out there to prevent hair-loss before it takes action.
It looks like normal male-pattern baldness to me. At your age I don't see much reason why most of it won't grow back. It should advance again once you start AAs, but you'll need patience.
If you're worried see if you can get finasteride (propecia) - you may need a prescription - but this should halt the loss and may even reverse it. It does have some possible side effects though - loss of libido and breast growth (I experienced both); this may not worry you!
I have the same hairline and it freaks me out too. You are not alone!
Some days it bothers me more than others, but let me tell you a secret:
KillBelle is right. Exercise and eating healthy makes it grow back.
When I was 24 my hair was thinning in places, I ride my bike nearly 40 miles a week and just eat small things throughout the day (about 1900 calories worth - doesn't matter what it is, carbs mainly), now I have a curl forest when it's dry and just the temple loss. I assume that AA's and HRT will make it even better. I still worry about it, but now I mainly fret about my face. I can't stand my face. >:(
I have a similar hairline as well. I can't say much on how to stop it pre-hrt, except to change your diet to maybe help bring down your testosterone levels. But I don't know how well that would work. HRT will certainly help with your hairline, but it does take a while.
The secret is, cut bangs/fringe into your hair. It covers up those corners, and when you put it into a pony tail the bangs are usually too short to hold into a pony tail so they stay down. It helps such a huge amount.
My hairline is kind of like that too. I've noticed some baby hairs growing in since HRT but it's been 1+ years on HRT now and I still cant pull my hair tightly back without revealing those 2 corners =/
