So I have 1 estrodiol pill left...for tonight. I won't be able to buy anymore till Friday morning when I get paid, but since I have work - Saturday morning. So I'm probably gonna with without estrogen for 2 days :( I can't bring myself to ask my dad for the 8 bucks...I can't do it. :( I'm really scared cuz I'm working 6 hours tomorrow and Friday and I don't know what's going to happen. I'm freaking out and don't know what to do! :(
Not a good situation, but not the end of the world. You might try split it in half - then at least you are getting something.
Do you have spiro? From what I've heard, its far more important to stay current on the spiro than the estradiol - lack of E wont really reverse changes, but lack of T-blocker will. In fact, some doctors used to (and some still do) cycle the estradiol by doing three weeks on and one week off, but this method was mostly abandoned due to no real benefits. Two days probably wont make much of a difference anyway, so don't worry too much :)
Although not ideal people have to stop HRT for short periods of time due to surgery and other things. I stopped my andorcure and estridol for 13 days for a surgery 2 months in to HRT. I didn't notice any sudden difference in myself or emotions when I stopped. Also, if you are still taking andro/spiro, I agree it is less of a big deal. My estridol levels were very low my first 3 months on HRT.
Good luck,
Jenna
It isn't like things will go back to the way they were pre-HRT.
I'm just freaking out because one morning I missed it, and I felt like ->-bleeped-<- all day at work until I realized I had missed it. My stomach and head were hurting and I was getting so hot for like 10 minutes at a time. I thought it was due to the lack of hormones because my co worker was fine and she was wearing a thick coat. I guess I'll live though :( I'm just frustrated that I was so stupid to forget and I didn't save any money and its such a small amount that I should have been able to.
Can you borrow $10 from anyone else? From work? Friends? Sibling? You don't have to say what it's for - just that it is critical and you miscalculated your costs until your next paycheck.
It probably isn't a big deal to miss a few days of HRT, but you'll feel better if you don't have to. And if you really are good for the money in a few days, I don't see why someone wouldn't be able to spot you $10. (Unless you are someone who is always borrowing $ and not paying back, at which point: don't bother asking people! heh.)

I do pay everyone back! My sisters are broke, and I can't bring myself to ask my parents :(
My bestie offered but idk wtf is up with her. She's been ignoring me all last night. I don't get it. :(
My sister said I can ask her boyfriend later tonight but idk I feel terrible asking for money. Gahhh I guess I have to
It won't hurt you hun, though depending on how quickly the E washes out of your system you may start to feel the emotional effects of T. but it'll stop as soon as you've got more.

If I could help someone out by lending them $10 that they would then pay me back within the week? I'd be upset if they DIDN'T ask me! :P
It wouldn't have any serious effect. You might feel yick but no your T level won't rise that sharply it takes about 5 days for the levels to begin increasing and a month or two for it to return to normalish male levels.

That is good to know. I have been late with my E dose by a few hours and as much as 12 in the past and I have worried I might be kick starting T production again. In my case a slow ramp up of E has been used to "fool" my pituitary to shut down T production in the testes. No androgen suppressor strictly speaking in other words. T is sitting at 9.7 according to my last blood test.
Hi Britney
Nothing is going to happen to you. You will be all right for the next couple of days. It happens occasionally to me as well. I have so much on my plate, travelling to different places and as a result I get of routine. So as a result I miss taking my tablets.
See if you can borrow ten dollars, surely that is possible from a family member, you do not have to say what it is for and make sure you emphasise that you will pay it back when you get paid.
Take a chill pill you will not die in the next couple of days. However in future so you do not have to worry yourself sick about not taking them, just plan a little better.
Britney? you will be all right.!!!!!!
Kind regards
Sarah B
Thanks everyone! :) I just freaked out. Its gonna be okay lol. I think I'd mainly suffer mentally if I missed the two days. I'm already upset enough that I forgot =/ Oh well.
It would take me about 3 days without e to get very irritable. You do need to block the t or the e will not be as effective. I have found the psychological effects of missing an e tablet can cause anxiety. Do borrow $10 from a friend and pay them back within the week. No need to increase your stress.
Yeah not great but not horrible either.
I tend to make sure I have enough for the week after the current week when I organize my pills for the week. So I'm way ahead of the game and can put the prescription in a week early.

Too funny! I organize my pills for six weeks. I am so OCD. I intentionally would stop the pills to see if they helped me. After three day I would have awful mood swings. Nowadays if I am out of town for a day I may miss a pill, but other than the anxiety, I am fine.
I had the stomach bug around thanksgiving. I didn't eat any thing for 3-4 days including my E, i couldn't even keep water down. I think i was too sick to be irritable or didn't care. I did start to have hot flashes on the 3rd or 4th day.
I do mail order pharmacy with my insurance and sometimes they or the USPS drag their feet on getting it to me. I had the doc write me another prescription for the local pharmacy. I try to keep an extra 30-60 days of meds at the house.
I feel your pain with the money thing. I've been there with the strapped for cash thing it sucks. I'm usually trying to buy milk or food of the kids. It is much worse explaining to little ones that they can't have milk, because we don't have money.

if it's only estradiol, that's fine. remember, genetic females have a time of the month where their estrogen levels drop. it's not going to kill you. just try and plan better for next time so it doesn't happen again.
ok, i just realized you posted this days ago, so it's probably been resolved by now.
It will be fine, I had to be off everything for six weeks before surgery and three weeks after. Soooooooo glad to get back on the E though, hot flushes n night sweets not nice, but not life threatening.
