Title: hearing our music
Post by: Shana A on January 09, 2007, 10:32:00 AM
It's wonderful to see that there are a number of musicians here at Susan's. I'd love to hear other people's music, and would like to share some of my music too, however due to confidentiality issues, I assume that not everyone is comfortable posting their band or music websites here in a public area. I'm wondering if there's a way for us to have space here on the message board to upload a song or two each.

You could create a Yahoo group and limit members.  I've done that for another music group in which I participate.  We post sheet music there.

There is a limitation on disk space, so you couldn't put a whole lot there.

Hi Cindi

Yahoogroups is a good idea. Do you know what the limit is for disk space? We'd need enough so each person could post a few songs, figuring that the average song is around 3 MB mp3 format, it'll add up quickly.

yahoo groups would be good maby, or a myspace, and cycle the music weekly or something...  I may een be able to talk my brother out of some web space... though Id rather try everything else first...
