In Keeping with Julie Marie's post of What Were You Doing 20 Years Ago? (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,92212.0.html), where do you see yourself in 20 years?
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.retroclobber.co.uk%2Fmovie-t-shirts%2Fimages%2Ftshirts%2Fladies-back-to-the-future-delorean-flames-t-shirt-logo.jpg&hash=cf288f15425ff719683ded28d290870d99ea99b1)
I would be like 38! omgawsh. let's see. I would have ended world hunger by then. yup. I would be on testosteronie and I would have a cute little puppy. ;)
Hopefully I'll have ditched my physical body and I'll be a virtual consciousness in the cybersphere :D
I'll be 41, hopefully own my own island and be retired...
IRL I will hopefully have a job that I love, some kids, and a house. That would be pretty awesome.
In 20 years, I will be almost 80. I hope I am post-op by then living with my g/f in our home.
at 39, ah!
haha, i want to be living with my wonderful mate/fiancee, and maybe he will be my husband by then =)
i will have had srs long long ago and i am happy with everything.
i own a few awesome old cars i love, and me and my mate both have good jobs we like and live in a nice little comfy home somewhere.
we will have some pets, atleast a doggie of course! and maybe my snake Rodeo will still be alive...old but alive! ^ ^
Still alive, looking forward to retirement and the world cruise my wife wants to go on when shes 60
Hopefully living around Big Sur being slightly flakey hanging out with my friends and husband after some sort of "function" cooking organic veggie shish kabobs on a hibachi :)
At 78, I hope the wrinkle cream does work. Also a 20 yr old toyboy BF, as Sophie Tucker remarked 20 goes into 80 a hell of a lot more than 80 goes into 20.
Cindy
I'd like to be a living , working Australian dude.
I'll still be 21

Ack! Cait is planning on being a Cylon. Or maybe starting Skynet and/or The Matrix.
I was going to say that in 20 years, I'd like to be approaching a young/early retirement.
Now, I'm thinking that in 20 years, I may be fighting in the first Cylon war or the battle to save humanity from the machines.

You will become one with the collective.
Resistance is futile.
Bake us cookies :D

I bet if we looked hard enough we'd find that there's a member of the forum who's name really is John Connor...yay, we're saved!

Well, I wasn't going to say anything....
You can't assimilate me. I'm species 8472 (though it makes transitioning challenging - haha).
Oh, and mmm...cookies.

Where would I like to be in 20 years?
Well at my age simply still being alive and in good health would be good for a start.
Actually of course I'd like to do rather more than that. I'd like to be a successful author, have widespread notoriety, and still be active in some professional capacity.

Ooooohhhh another aussie lover! I'd love to visit, perhaps even live in the land "down under".
I have taught myself how to play the didgeridoo, and have quite a collection of "tubes".
I know we have a fair number of people from OZ here, and as I look out my window at the blizzard that is pelting Chicago right now, I yearn for some Australian summer.
In twenty years, I will have surpassed being older than dirt, and by then I might even BE dirt.

I will probably be dead. (one can only hope)
Not allowed to die until I do. That means you have a very long wait so you may as well start enjoying life.

At the moment we are baking in southern areas of Aus. A massive cyclone is about to hit the Far North and there are floods in between. You might want the blizzard, but don't send it too me
Yes there are quite a few Aussies on the site, I've talked to many and met a few and every single one has been totally fantastic. Mmm we might have to start "Sheila's". Sorry Aussie joke.
Cindy
20 years from now? Hopefully I'll have moved up in life, from a one bedroom apartment to a TWO bedroom apartment!
Ah, one can dream...

Yeah, I've been watching the weather stories coming out from there. It looks like Yasi took dead aim on the coast.
I offered a couple of my aussie FB friends 5 boxes of snow for 2 boxes of warm. My offer still stands.
Hey, if you start Sheilas.com, would accept aussie wanna be's?
-Sandy
I've been blowing warm to you guys.
Do you think I'm responsible for the butterfly effect :embarrassed:
It's not Global warming it's Cindy, sister of La Nina?
Frightened to sign in case I get mugged by a meteorologist.

So it's YOUR butterfly wings that have caused this snow storm! Well, I fart in your general direction! How do you like that!

Typical USA foreign policy. We help and you fart on us.

I'll be 82 and, Lord willing, still rolling along.
Gennee
Age 75, still alive, healthy, happy.
By then, will have sold the private equity firm I'm now planning, have funded Transition House (Created and run by two AWESOME T-girls right here on this site), and have helped describe people like us to the general public in order to educate them about us and to foster acceptance of us.
Finally, I'd like to be whiling away my time living the ascetic philosopher's life and living in the C.O. resort which I hope to develop. Spending time occasionally with a small cadre of sincere friends would be a bonus which I'd greatly appreciate.
Peace
;) Lacey
I would be 39.
Now for the 'hoping':
1- Still being alive (Assuming the other points come true. Otherwise I'd rather just be dead to be honest)
2- Living an atleast half competent life unlike now : - Have a decent job - Have actual friends in 'real life' -Being healthy - Essentially be more than a shadow on a wall
3- Being comfortable being myself : -Successfully having transitioned -No longer having intense anxiety everywhere -Be post-op if transitioning was indeed for me
4- Being less irritable and snappy than I am now
5- In general, just being better off than I am right now.
Small list and not much too them, but they're quite large dreams. Will they turn out? Who knows.
OMG I WILL BE 40 YEARS OLD :'( MY LIFE WILL BE OVER! (jk)
By the time I'm 40 I hope to be
-19 years post op
-Married (hopefully he's FTM lol)
-Children
-Own my own house with my husband
-Stay at home mommy to our three little kids :D
-Happy, normal, quiet life.
I also hope to be able to help other trans people. Like when I'm older and independent, I'll still be here and if anyone needs to they will live with me :D I always hope to win the lottery and get everyone on here SRS
If I make another 20 years I'll be 69... :eusa_think: Hmm, maybe that's a good age to rediscover sex >:-)
in 20 years I'll be 45 :o wow.
I hope to be fully transitioned.
post op for a little more than 15 years
married
more dogs
own house in the country, or apartment/condo/suite in a big city with a husband (maybe in 20 damn years gay marriage will be legal and in all 50 states)
through college and making movies for 10 to 15 years
and own a decent car
Quotewhere do you see yourself in 20 years?
Odds are I will not be alive. But I would like to see half of the world go with me as the other half could live on the resources that nature allows. I am afraid many will suffer due to lack of resources.
At ground level vs 6 feet under
At 46... debt-free and in a monastery.
I hope to be winning the Women's Motocross race at Summer-X Games.
And then off to winning the Women's Halfpipe Snowboarding event at the Winter-X Games.
O.K. Maybe at the SENIOR X-Games. ;D
Jennifer
a socially well adjusted human surrounded by people who love me and I them!
At 43 I hope to be fully recognized as a man, running my own pharmacy somewhere along the coast, hopefully with a husband or wife and some kids. And dancing. Life always needs dancing.
Living as a girl, maybe studying my Ph. D at MIT (I DO want this so badly, I really want to) and hopefully already having and managing my own company n.n
I want to be alive, and in my lovers arms, watching the sea and making beautiful music with her.
Perhaps I will be a grandmother!
47, scary to think about!
I hope to be post-op for many many years, in a marriage with a man or woman that I love. Perhaps advancing my career, perhaps raising children, who knows :)
20 years.. damn. I will be 40.
I would be completely done with transition, been on T for 20 years! Will have had my top surgery for at least 15 years by then, and will have had my hysto as well.
I would hope to be living in Seattle or new york, living in a nice studio apartment or loft, something nicely decorated, but also simple and masculine, I want to live high up in a tall building with a nice view. I want to have a steady job, doing something that I take joy in, something that I don't dread, maybe writing, or something related to psychology. I currently have a boyfriend, and I know its a long way away, I can see myself still being with him, maybe living together, maybe married who knows.
No kids, they arent for me, a cat of course, Im sure my cat Edwin will be gone in 20 years. (he is 1 now)
Maybe I will be an uncle though haha, I can see that.
I would really hope that in 20 years, I can find that I have confidence in myself as a man, and no longer worry about my gender. No longer think about it all the time, and just move on and not even feel transgender anymore, just male. I would also hope that my whole family would be completely used to me being male, and maybe come to accept me as their son/brother. Maybe even forget who I used to 'be' thats what i really want, wish I could erase all of those years, they are just embarrassing to look back at.
I'll be 42, my little girl will be all grown up at 20. I'll be planning something awesome for her 21st
My transition will be a distant memory
I can see myself still being with my current boyfriend, should have been husband for a good while by then. In a nice house by the coast, with an amazing kitchen I can make all sorts of delicious food in. Maybe running my own business either in fashion or having a coffee shop/bakery.
My cats will more than likely be long dead, there's a sad thought :( I'll have new kitties
I hope to have seen most of the world by then. I plan to take my daughter to see lots of different places and cultures when she's old enough to appreciate it.
