Title: Hi everyone
Post by: Jennie on February 03, 2011, 02:03:11 AM
Hi everyone, I thought I would take the time to intoduce myself.
My name is  Jennifer and I am a middle aged M2F who just recently found out that I was not crazy for feeling the way I do, I have never told anyone ever since I was a kid, but now that I know there is a reason I feel this way.  I am glad that I am not crazy but I do not know if I can ever get up the guts to transition, it seems so hard to come out.
Well anyway I hope to see you folks around,  thanks.

Hi Jennie,

It's easy to think we're alone and I'm happy for you that you are beginning to accept yourself.

I too have not told anyone about myself, but I hope with the support of people on places like this I will find the courage to do so.

Hi, Jennie
Welcome home! with a ~Hug~

I'm fairly new here myself and found a fantastic group of friends who I just hadn't met yet.  Take the time to relax and read what others here have experienced - you will soon discover the reality: Oh, no, you are not crazy, you are among the very sane.

It's the denial and inner turmoil so many of us suffer by denying the other part of ourselves that makes us crazy.

Hello Jennie,
It good to meet you.
QuoteI am glad that I am not crazy but I do not know if I can ever get up the guts to transition, it seems so hard to come out.
You've just meet a lot of crazy people here at Susan's. :-\ :o ;D :icon_blah: :eusa_drool: :icon_zombie: :icon_crazy: ;D
But really I am glad you joined.
Your very right. It's not easy to transition but when the alternatives become worst.
That's when you do it.
What I mean is that when your life is not worth living anymore as a guy,
it becomes easier to transition than remaining the same.
For me it became the difference between living or dieing.
Welcome to Susan's,
Jillieann

Realizing that you are not insane is the first big step.

The second big step is building up the fortitude to transition  :o

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome, you all will see me more often now that I found this place.
It realy does make me feel better to know that I am not alone in this and there are others like me, it feels good to know your not crazy, it has not helped the pain of GID but it is a start, and  VeryGnawty you are right, I can feel the second step starting, I am actually thinking that I can open up to certain people.  Thanks again  and hugs to all.

Hi Jennie

Welcome to the forum.
It's good to find out you're not crazy, of course not.
Because, if you were crazy, we would all be completely insane don't you think.
No honey, mother nature mades some cruell jokes with us.
These things happends but, we can do something about it.
I've read your earlier posts and about your question about losing some people when you come out, I think  maybe not, probably yes .
The expirience with most of us is that there are some people who will leave but there are other people who will come into to your life.
It's hard to come out but when you've made the big step it's easier to face people, because you don't have to live with a secret anymore.
I'll hope you'll find the strenght and wisdom to live the life you wish.

love
annette
