Hello everyone,
I apologize if this is the wrong forum to share this I looked around and searched and didnt see any specific poetry section.
I just wanted to share something with you that is of me.
Walking on the shore
Of this ocean made of dreams
Walking now forever
Knowing nothings what it seams
Sense far beyond my memory
I've been swimming in its surf
Engulfed in hopes of histories
Holding so much more than worth
So many times they told me
So many times I've heard
The undertow of syndics
Faithful unforgotten words
Let it go they told me
And focus on the land
That waters not as solid
You can't hold it in your hand
Base your life on history
Don't try to make a new
The later is much too foolish
It's not the life for you
Then gradually it came to pass
That I would wade on shore
First crawling and then walking
Then searching to find more
But every where I looked, I found
I was so misunderstood
That every time I tried to do
My doing was no good
I could never move in rhythm
Things were not as I'd been told
This was not my life at all
And the earth is hard to hold
So to the oceans edge I ran
And looked out across its breadth
So vast it grew throughout its years
A fear grew of its depth
I stood a while and pondered
The thought gave me a chill
That I had failed my very self
And it was all on my own will
