Title: LLB Wide Coverage Binder
Post by: Konnor on February 08, 2011, 05:08:10 PM

Does anyone have any reviews on this one? I'm really thinking about getting it, because it looks like it would solve the barrel chest, underarm spillage, and rolling up problems I have with Underworks binders. I quite like the tri top, but the double front rolls up sooo much. Also, of the reviews I've seen, this binder seems way comfier than Underworks and binds just as well.

And sizing...this one uses the "B" size chart on their site. They have me at an XL, and I'm a bit nervous to order that size. I wear a small in the tri top and the double front from Underworks. I'm 5'5 and about 155 lbs. Anyone have any idea if I should stick to my "true" sizing or go down? Thanks guys!

I actually ordered this from Love Boat thinking the same thing. It looks like it can hold a lot, make it flat, and keep spillage under control.
They recommended an x-large for me, I ordered a large.

It was way, way, way too small. Even if I had ordered a XL, it still wouldn't have fit. I called them and they told me that that model is usually for smaller framed FTMs. I was like really? It doesn't look like it from the picture, but oh well.

Here is what I would do, because every body is different. Get their e-mail and tell them you need help sizing for that particular binder.
They have EXCELLENT customer care and would be more than happy to give you their opinion of what size or model they recommend.
They may ask for your measurements, don't be shy. And they will probably give you a few "best" options to help you chose.
I mean, afterall, it their product. They'll know best.
They helped me a lot, and I think its your best bet.
:)

I have another love boat binder that uses the B sizing chart.

I measured true to the XL, so that's what I ordered. It fits, but I think I'd have preferred one size smaller (the L). I have to wear it at the furthest/tightest on the velcro and I prob could have gone tighter.

I use a tri top medium just fine. So I may be the same size or even a bit bigger than you. So I think you might want to consider the Large and not the XL.

I'm 5'3 and 145 lbs. and I ordered a large in this binder a few days ago. I hope it's not too small. I'll let you know how it fits once it gets here.

I just got the notification that my package will be ready to pick up at the post office tomorrow, so tomorrow I'll go get the binder and try it on, and then let you know how it fits.

The large is just a bit too small for me. I should have gotten the XL.

That means I'm def an XL then lol. I might email the company and ask for their opinion on it before I order though. Thanks for your help Jeh!!

What is your measurement around your chest that you need an XL? I think I might be too big for any LLB binders.

It says on the site that they will custom make up to a 6XL. Worth a shot to email them if you're really interested in one of their binders.

Hmm between looking at the sizes and the costs (plus how much money is in my bank account) it just doesn't seem practical to get one.

Edit to add: What's the cost of shipping?

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Trying to decide to risk it on a LLB binder or just go with a new tri-top. Decisions, decisions!

I have one - though, I am one of the very smaller framed people. I had an XS 988 from underworks, and have a S Wide Coverage from LLB. Though it fits fine for me (with some velcro left over - another S binder I have doesn't have just enough velcro...) - means you probably should size up if you brought it. I'm not really sure how to rate how well it works, but I think it took about an inch and a half of my chest. It's definitely as comfortable, and would be more comfortable if the bottom (of the velcro) didn't cut in :(

If it'll help, I'm 39 around (34 under) and can wear a large from Guide A with plenty of room to spare.  It's just the wide-coverage that runs really small :)  Oh, and shipping is $8.50 for one or about 14 for two.

*counts on fingers*

It would end up being about $80 for me to get a high performance short one. I could get 3 underworks 997s for that price.

I used the same math to hold off getting a les love boat binder for a while.

After I finally got one (the high strength/high performance one), I felt like an idiot.

If you count hours or days I spent binding with my love boat vs. the tritops, it turned out to be the BETTER value by far.

That's really interesting Sean! Thanks for the info. Looks like I will be springing for a LLB binder soon. Just have to decide which one...Thanks for the input T and LilDoberman, I appreciate it!

By the way, what binders do you have from LLB LilDoberman and which do you like best?

I get the names confused, but I have both the high strength and the high performance.  The V-neck one is MUCH better, at least since I'm big chested.  The other binds a tad better (mostly because it's sized smaller, I think) but I get weird stuff happening out the top and it's not quite as comfortable as the V.  Good luck with yours :)  I literally wear mine about 14 hours a day so comfort is a big thing for me.  The V-neck is just as comfortable as my sports bras and gets me reasonably flat.

I think the sizing at LB is different because they're made for Asian guys? I had to order a B-XL and an A-2XL, and I'm generally an M at everything else.

The Super Strength Velcro Binder is very sturdy and strong, and in my opinion does a much better job than the High Performance. Personally I have no problems with armpit fat with either one, but my arms aren't where the fat piles up for me so it might be different for others

I have to wear one on top of the other for decent results, but I'm a large D cup (or higher, I don't even know)
One thing you can do if the size is just a little large, is add some more velcro stick tape in the back, so you can make it tighter if you want. I did that and it works perfect :)
