dunno how tall people are in other corners of the world, but round here that'd be pretty average. i'm something like 6'0 and there are LOTS of girls my height.

in the Uk the average height for a chick be 5 ft 4 1⁄2 ins...

(I'm 5ft 9ins)... but like being tall...

The average height for a UK bloke be over 5ft 10ins though...

And German, Dutch and Norwegian chicks are on average the tallest in the world...

I'm 5'11", and there are LOTS of GG's around here as tall or taller.  And at a recent gathering of friends (all transwomen), four of us discovered we are all the same height, more or less.  No biggie (pardon the pun...)

5'7 or 5'8 is a good height I think :)
Im 5'10 and I don't feel that tall, all my friends are around the same height as me and a few of them are even taller :)
I would not worry about your height :)
BTW im aussie and aussie girls seem to be pretty tall!

6'2" here, 5'7 - 5'8 doesn't seem that bad from this altitude  :D

I'm 5'7" and it's not bad at all.  Depending on whom I was working with I could have been the tallest or the shortest in the kitchen at any given time.

I range from about 6'5 to 6'9, depending on how much my neck/back are bothering me for the day.  I'm not exactly pleased about this.

I'm 5'7" - and I love it. I wouldn't mind being 5'5", but 5'7" is totally acceptable. Just avoid 5" heels.

I'm about 5'11". Taller than most women around me. However when out I don't have to look for long till I come across another girl who is around the same height as myself.

I'm around 5'7, used to think I use 5'9, so I kind of wondered why most guys were taller than me, when I thought I was average.

First, you're a great height! Tall enough for clothes to hang nicely ... tall enough to be able to wear heels without towering over guys ... not so tall that you stand out from the crowd. Perfect!

Me, I'm 6ft ... not so great! But every time I walk through a crowded train station, or down a busy street or through any public place I'm always, always, ALWAYS looking out for women my height ... and as often as not I find them. Not many, I grant you, but I'm not alone and I have girlfriends who are taller than me.

I also have a list of famous, great-looking women of 5ft 11ins or more that I use to bolster my morale ... So take a bow Elle Macpherson, Nicole Kidman, Allison Janney, Uma Thurman, Geena Davis, Famke Janssen, Brooke Shields, Lena Olin, Kathryn Bigelow, Vanessa Redgrave, Rebecce Romijn, Kristanna Loken, Maria Sharapova, Taylor Swift ... etc, etc ... hell, I'll even throw in Ivana Trump, if I'm feeling desperate! :)

But do I pray that something in the HRT/transition process might make me one of the lucky ones who loses a couple of inches in height and at least one, maybe two shoe sizes (and I know girls for whom this has happened) ... of course I do! I would kill for 5ft 10ins and size 9/10 (UK/US) shoes ...

And in my totally unrealizable dreams 5ft 8ins would be absolutely PERFECT!!

Here in South Africa we have a lot of tall women. It must be because most of us are from Dutch/German/Scandinavian descend. I wouldnt worry too much about the height issue. Walk tall and proud!! :)

I'm 5'7 when I'm at home I tower over my friends who are 5'1- 5'3 and I feel tall im also the taller than my sister or either parent.

however over here at university I'm pretty darn small about average for a female I'd be a dwarf of a male however.

Hey, 5'7" isn't so bad. I'm female born and that tall. Not only that, but I'm average to short compared to other girls my age. I think you're the perfect height.

I'm somewhere between 5 foot 8 and 5 foot 9 - its a long time since I measured - but either way its a great height to be for a girl. It's tall enough to be taller than most - but not so tall that anyone thinks anything odd about it.

Oh and as my hands and feet are reasonably "large female" typical in size too the size issue simply doesn't really figure for me.

6' 2" tall here.  It's so hard to find clothes that fit.  I find myself wishing I could be shorter all the time.  I love boots and I love heels but at my height it is often difficult to feel comfortable in the crowd when the majority of everyone's forehead comes up to my chin wearing heels just makes it worse.  I was once at a party with a bunch of pro basketball players, I felt very comfortable that night.  So it's all a matter of perspective and that whole mind over matter thing (if I don't mind then it doesn't really matter).

5'11" Here, and I like to wear platform shoes that make me 6'1"!

I think tall people can be as pretty as short people.  Its not about height, it is about how you work it!

6'3" and broad shoulders, but then if I end up with DD breast implants, to be in proportion, all the guys will no longer be looking at my face, so I will pass better!

I'm 5'10 but that's fine.  Considering that 5'10 is the minimum allowed height for a high-end fashion model. Most of the super models being 6'0 or taller. So all those icons of beauty you see are tall girls.

I am am extremely short.  I am 5'0 or 5'1.  In my male form no one thinks I am a girl.  I don't think height will peg you as a guy if that is what you are worried about.  Tall women do exist.  Just like women with big feet.

5'5" here, I got called short growing up and stuff but I actually always liked this height. I completely stopped growing when I was 14 though, hah.

Pretty middle-of-the-road I guess, but it works for me. I don't really notice when people are taller or shorter though. :)
