Title: Changing everything to male.
Post by: Carson on February 12, 2011, 04:32:29 PM
I have had my name changed a few months ago and everything is changed except for my birth certificate and my passport( I am waiting to do it until I need a new one because it is so much money to get one). I am getting top surgery with Dr. Garramone in 3 weeks. He writes a general letter saying that you have undergone irreversible gender changing surgery if I am correct. My drivers license is already changed to male and passports no longer require anything but a form to change gender.

You don't need a court order to change everything to male right? Sending the letter in to change my birth certificate should be enough as well as showing it at the social security office?

Here you have forms to fill out and  a letter to send but no court has to change your gender. You can order copies of your new birth cert at the same time. It does take 6 to 8 weeks to hear back from them however.

Ok thank you. I know about the forms and such I just was making sure I hadn't overlooked something about getting a court order.
