Title: Dr. Booth
Post by: HayleyVera on February 14, 2011, 10:27:43 PM
A referral was sent to Dr. Booth in May 2009 I believe. I was told he has a waiting list of about 8 months, but I'm still waiting for an appointment date.

Has anyone else had a problem getting in to see Dr. Booth?

I dont know how the system works in Canada, but generally when a referral is sent to a DR then you will need to call the DR and make an appointment.
Have you contacted the DR for an appointment date or is it just the referral?

Personally, if I hit an 8 month waiting list then I would try to find someone else.

Well, normally here when you get a referral, the doctor's office phones YOU to tell you when the appointment will be.  Or you get a letter, depending on the type of doc.  I have heard that Dr. Booth, being a very good and well-known trans-oriented endo, is swamped.  Hayley, I will PM you.  My doctor sent the referral on Dec. 17 (I stood there and watched the secretary send the fax) and nothing so far.
